The Palace

"Who gave that Laura?"

My eyes widened after seeing the fresh bouquet of yellow roses on my table. It was very elegant, very beautiful and very pleasant to my nose. I checked the card that was on it and saw that it came from someone named H.E.. Was that H.E because it was sent by a male or H.E. stands for the sender's initials? I couldn't think of someone owns the initials, I never met someone who got it. Was that someone I know? Whoever he or H.E. might be, that person made me smile.

"Mr. Moller gave that to me Princess, he said it was left to the Royal guard at the Palace's gate for you."

"That's it? He didn't tell you if the guard told him who sent this?"

"No Princess, he just ordered me to put that on your table."

Laura sweetly smiled at me as if she was teasing me about the flowers. I just raised my eyebrows and laughed.

"Stop it Laura. This is just an invitation from someone I don't know so I really don't think if I am coming or not. Like, come on! H.E.? Are you going to accept the invitation if it was someone you think you don't know personally?"

"Your Highness, the fact that Mr. Moller accepted it for you means the sender isn't just someone you are thinking of."

"Hmmmm... You have a point but who that might be?"

"That's the answer you'll get when you meet the person. Who the guy might be.. I'm curious as you Your Highness."

"Guy??? A guy??? How can you be so sure that it's a guy????"

"Whoever he is Your Highness, the flowers say it all. Open your heart and let it be the beginning of something new."

She then vowed her head and went out of my sight leaving me thinking about the situation that might or might not surprise me. I know Laura was thinking of someone but she was just concealing it from me for me to get curious and meet the person. Whoever he is, I really didn't have a clue. What does she mean by those words? Open my heart? Beginning of something new?

The Palace

"It has been a while since the Queen and I had dinner here at the Palace with you Annelise and I'm glad because looking at you sitting there feels like you already accepted us as your family."

The King's sudden dinner invitation made me puke when I heard about it. All I ever thought of was what was he going to tell to all of us? It was the second time I sat in front of the long table with them and the feeling of nervousness never changed. The first time was the week when I moved in the Palace and it was scary for I didn't know how to act in front of them in a dining table minus the sarcastic Prince Edvard and Andrei whom I didn't know that time was also a Prince.

"I-It's an honor to sit here and eat together with you Your Highness. F-or the s-second time."

The king's laugh surrounded the whole dining area.. all eyes on him as if everyone was also their first to see His Highness like that. Well, I honestly telling that it was the first time I saw him like that and heard him laughing graciously. It was good to my ears.

"F-forgive me Your Highness, b-but... d-did I tell something wrong to make you laugh?"

He looked at everyone and collected himself. His gaze went to mine and his smile was so soft.
