This is short and stupid.
Pythor was attempting to calm down his good friend Skales, who was beyond drunk.
"Pythor, I ssssense the presence of a human!"
"Oh my god, Skales! What exactly did you have to drink?"
"A hyooman!"
Pythor rolled his eyes only to find that, indeed, a human was standing in the doorway.
"What the hell has Skales been drinking?"
"Glad you cared enough to ask, Kai. I have no idea."
Kai stood there with a quizzical look on his face. He couldn't quite make out the entire situation having just arrived, but he had a feeling he was to become much more involved in this "story." Meanwhile, Skales was trying to hypnotize a lamp.
"Your hypnosis only works on living creatures, Skales. A lamp is not a living creature," Pythor stated irritably, yet in a way that was devoid of all emotion.
"It can be if I believe it is," Skales slurred.
Kai sighed. "This'll be a looong day."
