CHAPTER 26
JOYCE POV
I haven’t heard anything from them for over a week. Siguro tama nga si Tita Tracy, things will just blow over. Still, I have this nagging feeling that I haven’t heard the end of Anne. I still haven’t told Kris anything about that night. There’s no point telling him. It will just spoil his mood, baka kung ano pa magawa nun kay Anne. I also didn’t tell my parents about it. Wala pa naman reason for them to know. So I just went on with my usual stuffs, trying to put this brewing problem at the back of my head.
KRIS POV
Joyce still haven’t told me anything about that dinner fiasco. Although I really want to know, I didn’t try to push her. I'll let her decide when she's comfortable enough to tell me about it. Pero one thing’s for sure, may kinalaman si Anne dito.
One afternoon while Rick and I were playing basketball,
Derrick: Kris, have you heard? Anne’s back.
Kris: I know. I’ve seen her one time.
Derrick: And?
Kris: And she’s causing a lot of trouble for Joyce. Pare, I really hate her. Ginugulo niya si Joyce.
Derrick: Wag kayo papaapekto dun ha?
Kris: Oo naman. I won’t let her break me and Joyce apart.
Derrick: Just be careful. Ibang klase yang babaeng yan. I warned you before at hindi ka nakinig so you better listen to me now.
Kris: I will. Thanks bro.
Derrick is right. We haven’t heard the end of Anne yet. I think she's just bidding her time. I promise I won't let her hurt me and Joyce...especially Joyce.
LEXI POV
Joyce confided in me about what Anne did. I couldn’t help it. Muntik na talaga ako mapamura dahil sa babaeng yun!
Lexi: Puuuuu…….TEKKKKKK!
Joyce: Uy!
Lexi: Sorry ha, pero kakaiba talaga yang pinsan mo! Naku, ingat ka diyan. Feeling ko may pinaplano yan na hindi maganda.
Joyce: Oo nga eh. I think I know.
Lexi: What?
Joyce: She wants Kris back.
Lexi: Eh diba ganyan na talaga yan kahit nung bata pa tayo? Lahat ng laruan mo gusto niya meron siya. So kukunin niya sa iyo tapos pag nagsawa na siya, ibabalik sa iyo, tapos sasabihin sa Lolo mo na hindi mo siya pinapahiram. Tapos ikaw, di ka naman magsasalita. Ikaw ulit ang mapapagalitan.
Joyce: She’s still the same. Hindi ko alam bat hindi na nagbago ugali niya. It’s not like she has a difficult childhood. Wala naman siya problem sa parents niya. Favorite siya ni Lolo. Lahat ng relatives namin gusto siya. So what's wrong with her?
Lexi: Ugali na niya talaga yun. Hopeless na. Basta, mag-ingat ka diyan ha?
Joyce: Oo naman. I won’t give Kris up.
Ano nga kaya ang plano ni Anne. May ganyan din kayang babae sa past ni Rick? Nakakahiya pero ni minsan hindi ko pa natanong kay Rick ang tungkol sa past relationships niya. There seems to be no reason to ask before. Pero ngayon, what if…? Hay Lex, praning ka naman. Simple lang relationship niyo ni Rick. Uncomplicated. Don’t go looking for trouble. Pero, hindi pa din ko mapakali. What if meron nga?
Lexi: Joyce, I have to go. I’ll call you later ha. Alis na ko. Bye!
Joyce: Uy, bat ka nagmamadali? Uy! Lexi!
