JOYCE POV
One Saturday evening, Kris asked me out for dinner.
Kris: Hi. Are you ready for our date?
Joyce: Yup. Where are we going nga pala?
Kris: Secret.
Joyce: Oh...ok. Ano gagawin natin? Dinner lang?
Kris: Secret.
Joyce: Hmmm...Tayo lang or kasama sina Lexi?
Kris: Secret.
Joyce: Ganun? Lahat secret?
Kris: Basta. You’re going to love it. I promise.
Joyce: Sige na nga.
Ang weird lang ni Kris tonight. Masyadong secretive. Na-intriga tuloy ako on what he planned for us tonight. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait.
KRIS POV
Joyce has no idea that she’s in for the biggest surprise of her life. Pero sa totoo lang, parang ako ang excited sa mga mangyayari. I’m really looking forward to this evening. This is one of those things that I know will surely make her happy.
Joyce: Ang weird mo.
Kris: Ako? Why?
Joyce: Eh kasi, napapangiti ka mag-isa while driving. O ayan na naman oh.
Kris: Masama ba ngumiti? Eh siyempre masaya ako kasi magkasama tayo.
Joyce: Totoo?
Kris: Oo naman.
Joyce: Baka naman it has something to do with your surprise ha? Sige na sabihin mo na please?
Kris: Di nga pwede. Surprise nga diba? Hintayin mo na lang kasi.
Joyce: Eh sobrang curious na nga ako eh.
Kris: Ang kulit kulit kulit mo.
Joyce: Hmmm...Kiss kita pero sasabihin mo sa akin kung ano yung surprise. Deal?
Kris: Patay tayo diyan. Bribery na yan! Haha! Di ba pwedeng kiss na lang kahit di ko sabihin yung secret?
Joyce: Nope. Pag di mo sinabi sa kin, no kiss, no hug for a week!
Kris: What?! Emotional blackmail! Grabe Joyce, ang lupit mo naman. Hindi ko kaya yun! One day nga lang di ko na kaya, one week pa?!
Joyce: Haha! Joke lang no. Sige na nga, I’ll just sit here calmly and patiently and wait for your surprise. Happy?
Kris: Yup. Napaka-understanding talaga ng girlfriend ko. Super bait pa! Kaya love na love kita eh.
Joyce: Sus! Nambola ka pa. Sige na. Mag-drive ka na lang diyan. Haha.
JOYCE POV
I’m really curious about what he planned tonight.
Kris: We’re here. Ok dito. Sarap ng food and intimate ang ambiance. Let’s go.
He held my hand then we walked into this restaurant. He led me to a private alcove away from the main resto.
Kris: Are you ready?
Joyce: Kris, bakit parang bigla ako kinakabahan?
Kris: Relax, there’s no reason to be nervous. This will make you very very happy I promise.
Joyce: Ok.
Kris kissed me on the forehead and smiled at me before he opened the door. When the door opened, I saw my Lolo and Tita Tracy inside. Then I saw my parents were in there too! All of them were smiling and happy. I got teary-eyed when I saw my family together in one room. Napatingin ako kay Kris. He was smiling at me.
