Chapter 3: the reasons,Jaze's unidentified crush ?

Nagami's POV

I'm at our dorm,eating a bag of chips as I watched random tv series. Well,it's sunday today. "Hey Nagami,We'll be practicing basketball today. Are you coming ?" Taiki asked. "Nahhh... I'll just look around the mall for anime stuff." I smiled,finishing the bag of chips. "Okay then.. Oh and,we might get back here late so... Just buy your own food. I know you have enough money." Jaze added. I just nodded then they left. I stood up then went to the bathroom. I undressed then took a bath,remembering the things happened yesterday. I drowned because my leg suddenly felt unusual pains,muscle cramps I guess. It seems like they didn't notice cause I'm way too far from them. The last thing I saw is Jaze was near me when I blacked out. And the thing that surprised me is when I woke up,Jaze was really close to me. So close that maybe in just one move,our lips will meet. Well,he just backed off. Maybe he's just trying to save me,that's all. Don't think of anything else,Nagami. Well,enough of the thoughts. I showered then went out,of course,dressed. I wore a long-sleeved yellow blouse then a jeans. I just combed my long black hair then clipped the other side of my bangs. I grabbed my phone and bag then went outside,locked the door then went to a mall. I went straight to Comic Alley,where anime stuffs are sold. I bought 3 KnB posters,5 Soul eater posters,2 pendants of Shingeki no Kyojin (the one with the freedom wings pendant,and the other with the colossal titan's face),Chopper's bag from one piece and of course,Soul's headband (the white one). I paid for it then started to go back to our dorm,where I am supposed to enjoy these stuff I bought. But then I passed by Yuna and her boys. The good thing is they're on the other side of the road,but the bad news is they saw me. I covered my face then turned to a dark corner that is a shortcut leading to our dorm.

"Hey hey,what's with the rush ?" A girl said from behind. Damn,it's too late.. "Y-yuna..." I slowly turned my head to her. No,I mean them. There were two guys behind her. And guess what ? those guys also hate me,a lot. "What luck,we found you here all alone,Nagami." Stephen said. "What's wrong ? Why aren't you with your boys ?" Drake grinned. "They've been varsities since last year. Maybe they're having a practice session 'till this afternoon." Yuna said. I slowly backed up,then tried to run but Drake grabbed my hand,then pushed me to a corner. "Don't hurry,Your boys won't be there until this afternoon." He grinned. I'm really tired with this scenes.. I can even barely remember why they hate me..

Flashback

*Yuna was an envious girl,and she always gets what she wants. She really liked Mikoto,but Mikoto hates her. He's bestfriends with me so she envies me,and thinks that I flirt with him,a lot. Well,Stephen and I are somewhat friends,until the time when we became enemies in a championsip game of history. Mr. Taiyou asked us questions and we'll answer it. He wanted to win but I defeated his score. It's not just that,I accidentally embarrassed him. I was running around the school,playing with Jaze when I bumped to him,pushing him to a mud pool. The mud stained his clothes then pupils laughed at him,then he blamed me for it. Drake was beaten by Taiki because of hurting me,and then embarrassed him to everyone. He yelled his darkest secrets,and then hated me because I was the reason why Taiki did that.*

End of flashback

Drake pulled my hair strongly. "You have beautiful hair.. What if we destroy it's style ?" He laughed. Stephen pushed him beside. "Just destroy her face. In that way,she won't be able to exceed Yuna." He suggested. Yuna went infront of them then slapped my cheek. I fell on my hands because of what she did. I held my cheek in pain. "That's for flirting Mikoto everytime." She knelt down and then pulled me by my hair closer to her. "Y-yuna stop... I-I'm not —" She suddenly gripped my shoulders really tight,like she already want to crush my bones. "Don't deny it. I know you just want to be famous like them. Like us." Yuna whispered. She snapped her fingers then Drake handed her a cup of juice,which Drake was drinking before. It was half empty. She opened it and as expected,she splashed it on my face. My face and clothes got wet again,but I stood quiet. Stephen took the bag of my anime stuff,then tossed it aside. I just looked down,my bangs dripping droplets of the juice. I can't fight back. They're too strong.. Stephen was about to pick me up by my shirt when a hand grabbed his hand. "You're doing too much to our bestfriend..." A familliar voice said. Could it be... "Taiki.." Stephen mumbled. I looked up at him,seeing Mikoto and Jaze behind. And you know what ? Ms. Tonari and Ms. Saki was there. "That's bullying,right ?" Ms. Tonari said. Ms. Saki nodded. Stephen and Drake got scared then pleaded not to tell anyone. "Okay.. But if you do this again,there's no choice but to tell..." Ms. Tonari said. They went away,dragging Yuna. Mikoto went to me and helped me stand up. "You okay ?" He asked.

"N-nothing,really..." I mumbled. He looked all over my face,seeing Yuna's slap mark. "I knew it.." He sighed. He tried to touch I ,but I pushed his hands off. "H-hey,i-it hurts..." I stuttered. "Oh,sorry.." Mikoto looked at Jaze as he went to us. "Here." He smiled,then handed his jacket. He laid it on my back. Mikoto looked at me. "Can you walk home ?" He asked. I nodded then stood up. "Hey Taiki-kun,don't be afraid to tell us if Yuna does this again,okay ?" I heard Ms. Saki tell him. "Yes." Taiki replied then they left. Taiki went to the part where Stephen tossed my stuff then picked them up together. "Here." He handed the bag with a smile. We walked back home,with Mikoto guiding me. "Why did you came home so early ? I thought you'll get back late." I asked. "Well,Ms. Saki made us go home early cause they have a meeting for a play that our school will present,and our section will be in-charged of the characters." Jaze said. "What kind of play ?" I asked. "I don't know." Mikoto sighed. We reached home then I just sat down,putting my stuff on my drawer.

Taiki's POV

Nagami was bullied again.. Good thing we we're dismissed early,or Nagami had worse. Nagami stood up then went to the bathroom. I just laid on my bed,then looked at the clock. "11:45..." I sighed. Mikoto and Jaze took a nap. A basketball training is also tiring,ya know. Nagami went out after a while. She has her hair wrapped in her yellow towel,wearing a shirt and pajamas. She yawned,looking at me. "Hey." She smiled. I smiled back. She just laid down on her bed,then slept. So they all slept. Well,I guess I have no choice. I closed my eyes then took a nap.

~~hours later~~

I was disturbed in my sleep by video games noises. Damn,I'm having a good sleep ! —.— I just sat up then looked at the three,who was playing Resident Evil 6. Well,Nagami's just watching,and the two guys are having fun in the game. I just yawned,stretching myself. "Hey,Taiki." Nagami smiled. "Hey." I smiled back. "What time is it ?" Jaze asked,pausing the game. "4:38" Mikoto answered. Jaze nodded then turned the system off,including the tv. "It's so boring today.." I mumbled. "Yeah.." Nagami nodded. "Let's just basketball ! There's a court near here." Jaze suggested. "B-but I don't know how...." Nagami mumbled. "It's fine ! We'll teach you !" Mikoto chuckled then stood up,then dragged Nagami outside. Jaze and I just followed. "Hey,Do you like someone already ?" Jaze asked. "Uhm.. Nah.. You ?" I asked back. "Maybe.. But not sure.." He looked at me. "Who is it ?!" I chuckled. "It's a secret." He sighed. "Aww.. Okay." We caught up with the two. Mikoto was already teaching Nagami about the rules. Wow,they got here really fast. "Okay,she knows it." Mikoto chuckled. "Kay,game ! Nagami's mine ! You two pair up !" Jaze said. Mikoto nodded.

Nagami sat on a bench,panting as sweatdrops dripped from her hair. "I didn't know basketball is this tiring !" She sighed. "Yeah,but the three of us are used to it." I laughed. "Of course ! You're varsities of the school !" She replied. Mikoto chuckled. "Let's just go back to the dorm. Then you take a bath cause you're soaking wet !" Jaze said,chuckling. "Yeah yeah." Nagami sarcastically said then she stood up. We went back home,then Nagami took a bath. "Hey Jaze,you sail earlier that you like someone,right ?" I asked. Jaze shot me a Shut-The-Hell-Up look. "It is not sure,okay." He sighed. "Hey hey ! Is that true ? You like someone ?" Mikoto joined in,holding a bottle of water. "I just said that it is not sure." Jaze sarcastically said,sighing. "Who is it ?" Mikoto asked. "It's a secret." Jaze replied. "Aww ! Then just describe her !" Mikoto said. "Okay. She's our classmate. And that's that." Jaze sighed. "Who ? Yuna ?" I blinked. "I won't ever like that girl !" Jaze yelled. "Oops." I mumbled.
