Chapter 12: Triggers

Taiki's POV

~time skip: dismissal time~

I stood up then helped Nagami with her stuff. "Thanks.." She smiled brightly. And you know what,I felt something strange when she smiled. I just shooked it off then nodded. She started walking to her locker. That smile,I think it was brighter than the skies ! Wait,what ?! Taiki,what are you talking about ? She started walking back here again. Jaze and Mikoto went also. "Let's go ?" Nagami asked. We nodded. As we were walking,Nagami suddenly clung to my back tightly. "A-a dog !!!" She screamed. She's afraid of dogs. I just blinked,then watched the dog calmly had it's way. We looked at Nagami,then bursted out in laughter. She just made a cute,grumpy face. "Why are you so scared of dogs ?" I laughed. "Well,one bit me when I was young." She sighed. We just shrugged then continued walking,with Nagami still clinging on me in case of another one passes. We got home,then Nagami straightly went to her bed. "Hey Nagami,about Yuna. Why did she even did that to you ? I heard some of your conversations... She said you were flirting with Clyde." Jaze said. Nagami sat up. "I'm not..... I'm just making friends..." She mumbled. "Okay,okay. Let's just sleep...." I sighed then laid on my bed,starting to sleep.

~dream~

I was on a peaceful field,watching over the skies. Nagami suddenly came,then sat beside me. "Hi." She smiled. I just smiled back. "Say,do you like someone ?" She asked. Blood rushed to my cheeks. I feel like it's her,but it's not. "N-none.. No one..." I sighed. "You sure ? You'll regret it if you lie to your heart,or self." She blinked. I slowly nodded. "Yeah.... I'm sure..." I sighed once again. "How about you ?" I asked. "My childhood Jaze. I'm still waiting for him." Child hood Jaze ? Is that..... "Uhm.... Is he Blue raven ?" I asked. She happily nodded. "Yes ! I wonder how he knew it was me..." She sighed. I'm feeling weird,because I felt like her words broke my heart. Look,I only see her as a FRIEND,no, as a BESTFRIEND. So if she loves Jaze,I shouldn't feel weird stuff like this. But why ? Does that mean I already love her ? Well,feeling weird stuff doesn't mean you're inlove. Sigh,I'm confused. This girl made me. "Oi,Taiki-kun." Nagami blinked. "Yes ?" I looked at her shyly. "Do you really know who Blue raven is ?" She asked. I shook my head no. "Oh,okay then... Well,I'll leave. So... Bye !" She giggled then left. Her giggles were soft. I smiled,then heard footsteps behind me. I turned then a shadowy figure attempted to stab me.

"What the ?!" I quickly sat up,panting. I blinked,realizing it was only a dream. I wonder why I even dreamt of that... And I don't even know if the feelings I had there were real. And I hope they're not because Jaze might kill me for snatching his long lost girl. I looked at the clock,seeing it's 5:08 in the morning. I just sighed then laid back down. I stared at the ceiling,sighing again. Look,if those we're real,I'm really really really really really really really really DOOMED. But I got shocked when a flashback came into my mind.

I was on the park bench,crying. I was in the 6th grade when I tried to propose to a girl I admire,which was Chianne. She's wearing glasses,cute,intelligent,pretty. Like a full package of a great girlfriend. "Oi,why are you crying ?" Nagami sat beside me,then patted my back. I sighed then looked at her. "Busted." I mumbled. "Oh.. Well,you and Chiki-san have mistakes.." She sighed. "What is it ?" I blinked. "First,you proposed in a young age. And second,She doesn't care about you. She only wants your gifts and stuff.. And that made you think she likes you back.She sighed. I stared at the ground,sighing also. She hugged me then patted my back. "It's gonna be fine.. Find someone else !" She giggled. "There are so many girls in this world ! Don't get sad because one friendzoned you !" She added. I looked at her then smiled. She got off of me then handed me a..... Chocolate lollipop,my all time favorite when I'm guy stressed. I chuckled then took the lollipop. "Thanks." I smiled again. "Doishite shimashite,Taiki-kun !" She she said with a smile. "What's that ?" I blinked. "Your welcome." She giggled then urwrapped another lollipop,then ate it.
