Chapter 4: Prince Jaze and Princess Nagami !

~~~Time skip:Monday morning~~~

Mikoto's POV

It's monday again.. Well,I love how Ms. Tonari teaches us,but I always want to sleep in our dorm. "Okay,this day is the election for the casts of our upcoming play !" Ms. Tonari said. "I'll go with who Jaze-kun votes !" I heard girls from the other side of the room. "Me too !" Another one said. "Okay,now the nomination for the Prince's role is open." Ms. Tonari said. Nagami grinned then raised her hand. "Jaze Itsuka." She said. Ms. Tonari smiled. "Nice choice,Nagami. Jaze suits as the prince !" She giggled. Jaze shot her an Get-Ready-To-Die look. Nagami giggled. Yuna raised her hand. "Mikoto Koutouka." She looked at me then smiled. I just ignored her. (Yuna: ^_^ Mikoto: ¬_¬) "That's all ?" Ms. Tonari asked. We all nodded. "Who's for Jaze ?" Ms. Tonari asked. Well,I think 90% of the class,so obviously he won. He's more good looking than I am,no doubt. "Now for the princess.." Ms. Tonari said. Jaze raised his hand. "Nagamiraya Kizuna !" He yelled. Everyone looked at him,then at her. Girls looked jealous. Nagami glared at Jaze,which made Jaze chuckle. "Okay,Nagami. Well,she does look nice too." Ms. Tonari smiled at her. A girl raised her hand up,and it's Yuna's friend,Kira. "Yuna Kisaki !" She said. Ms. Tonari didn't gave out a comment. Well,I think she doesn't want her to take the role. "Okay,Who's for Nagami ?" She asked. Taiki,Jaze,and I raised our hands up,and the other girls who hate Yuna because of her attitude. The girls from the other side raised they're hands,because Jaze did. Yeah yeah,Jaze is a seductive guy. He attracts girls without even doing anything,or just looking at them with a bored look. Well,except Nagami cause she's used to it. Nice,70% of the class. So it's already obvious. (A/n: Lol short Mikoto POV gomen xD)

Nagami's POV

I was sketching anime characters when I heard Ms. Tonari announce the main characters. "Jaze Itsuka as the prince and Nagamiraya Kizuna as the princess !" She giggled. She sounded happy of the result. Oh,I'm the pri— WHAT THE HELL ?! I AM THE PRINCESS ?!?!?! DAMN,I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW A PRINCESS ACTS !! KAMISAMA (god),WHY DO THIS ?! T^T "You two,stay here after the class ends. I'll be giving you two the scripts." Ms. Tonari smiled then left.

So,Jaze and I took the scripts. We read it. It was about a Princess named Rikka (which is me) who was destined to fall for a prince. Prince Kiiro (which is Jaze) is the only son of another kingdom,which was rivals with Princess Rikka's kingdom. We were enjoying the story and when we got to the middle part... "A KISSING SCENE ?!" We said in shock. "I can't change that script." Ms. Tonari said. Kamisama,why in all plays... WHY THE HELL THERE IS A KISSING SCENE ?! "W-when will be the play..?" I stuttered. "Saturday." Ms. Tonari replied. "What ?! Saturday already ?!" Jaze looked more shocked. Ms. Tonari nodded. This is why I hate plays... We said goodbye to Ms. Tonari then walked home. "U-uhm... Jaze... About the kissing scene..." I mumbled. "Nagami,I know you still didn't had your first kiss.. And I'm the same as you.. So if you don't want to do that scene... I'll try to think a way to avoid it.." He stared into my eyes. He looked serious. "But... If we can't... I'm sorry." He sighed. I patted his back. "It's fine.. Just kiss my cheek,that's all..." I sighed also. Jaze smiled then nodded. "We can try that." He chuckled. We reached home,then I plomped on my bed. "Oh,the prince and the princess is here !" Taiki teased. I gave him an emotionless look,meaning I'm too tired to be teased right now. "Hey,Jaze. What happened ? Did you two had a practice ?" Mikoto asked. "Nahh.. But this flattered us." Jaze sighed then handed the script. Their jaws dropped. "A kissing scene ?!" He sighed. Jaze just nodded. I just slept until night came.

Jaze's POV

Nagami slept again. Well,I also wanted to but images of the scene suddenly appear in my head. I can't steal her first kiss.. And I'm just a no one to have it from her. She's a nice girl and a cute bestfriend,if you ask me. But I can't let a kiss to ruin our closeness.

~~~~time skip: thursday~~~~

Great ! Nagami and I are practicing the play. Except the kiss of course ! And it's really perfect... "Hey Jaze,keep our deal okay ? Just in the cheeks !" Nagami said. "Yeah yeah..." I mumbled. We went back home,then as usual. Talked to the two. Then slept.

[Friday]

So the day is tomorrow..... But I'm still confused if I should do the deal. If I don't,Ms. Tonari might scold us. If I do,Nagami and I's relationship as bestfriends might be ruined. "Jaze and Nagami,Ms. Saki's waiting for you in the AVR. Go there and practice with her." Ms. Tonari said. Nagami and I stood up from our seats then went there. We practiced the play,then Ms. Saki looked amazed. "Wow ! Ms. Tonari had chosen two good people ! You two really fit your roles !" Ms. Shki smiled. We nodded then bowed.

[Friday night]

The whole group decided to watch stars this evening. Well,we're now on a grass field,laying down. "Those stars sure are bright !" Nagami giggled. Mikoto nodded. "Yup." He smiled. I was just staring at the skies when a shooting star came. I smiled then closed my eyes. 'Let my heart and mind clear to think what should I do tomorrow.' I thought.

Nagami's POV

I'm really nervous for tomorrow ! Well,Jaze said he won't kiss me in the lips,so I'll be fine ! "So.... Tomorrow's the day.." Jaze sighed. "Yeah..." I sighed also. "So... Let's just hope for good luck." I smiled. He nodded. "Let's get back now. It's already 8:30." Taiki said. We nodded then went home. I wonder how will I look like tomorrow. I just slept when we reached home cause my thoughts might disturb my sleeping habit again.

I woke up,noticing it's already 6:00 in the morning. When I got up,I saw the boys already took a bath and ready to leave. I quickly ran to the bathroom,then took a quick shower. I just wore my usual clothes then sighed. "I'm done.." I mumbled. "Good." Mikoto sighed. We went to the school,seeing everyone ready for the play. Jaze and I went to our dressing rooms. And it's seperated,of course. Ms. Saki gave me a princess' dress. I just sighed then wore the dress,and I was shocked at the sight I saw at the mirror. "You look beautiful !" Ms. Saki smiled. "Now I'm sure every boy out there would look at you !" She added. I shyly smiled. "Thanks.." I mumbled. "Now,let's see your prince !" She smiled then dragged me to his fitting room. I blushed at how he looks like. He really does look like a prince. "N-nagami,you look nice.." He stuttered. "Thanks.." I mumbled. "Now,let us see the presentation from the next school ! The Kitsuka High !" The voice from outside said. Me and Jaze looked at each other. "So... Good luck." He smiled. "Same.." I smiled back. We went to our places behind the curtains and then as it swung open,we started playing.

~~~at the ending part~~~

"No ! You can't love that guy ! He's from our rival !" My acting dad/king said. "Get back here or else.." The other acting king which was Jaze's acting father said. This was the time where the kiss will happen. I'm starting to tremble. Well,the ending is we'll die,and it'll be a legend of a love stuff,I guess. "I'm sorry,Nagami." Jaze mumbled. He closed his eyes then leaned closer to me. No,don't tell me he's gonna... BOOM. Our lips met. I was standing still,shocked at what he did. But we had a deal ! The guards from each kingdom threw a spear at us at the same time,then we acted to die from that. We stood up again then bowed. I saw people stand up then clap. We exited the stage then I went straightly to our school's back yard,under the tree. Why did he do that ? He said he won't ! We had a deal ! But.. Maybe he just wanted the play to be nice,and wanted to win. Maybe that's just that....
