Chapter 1
"All our dreams can come true, if you have the courage to pursue them." -Walt Disney
"Lyric? Lyric is ... is that you?" I walked carefully towards the figure resembling my sister. She turned and looked at me, swishing her wild brown hair and flashing her big, wondering eyes."Rissy? Ohmighosh Rissy! I've missed you so-" she dissapeared. My eyes watered. Not again... I thought. I can't lose her again. Iooked where she had stood, and all that was left was the orchid that was in her hair, and a bottle. What's in there? I wondered. I slowly bent over and touched the bottle. "Ouch!" I yelled. Its hot. I looked aroundsomehting to pick it up with. "Aha!" A big bunch of leaves fell to the grassy ground as a warm breeze rushed through the field. I ran back to the bottle, and used the leaves to pick it up. "Hot, hot, hot, hot" I said, carrying it over to a small boulder to look at it. Its just.... dust. Suddenly, the bottle exIploded open, spraying red dust everywhere, but then, I heard my mom. "Honey, wake up!" As she yelled over and over again, the bottle slowly pieced back toghether, All the dust was back in it, and it was now labeled with glowing gold, "Poussière Rouge." I went to touch it hesitantly, knowing it would burn my fingers, but then felt cool relief of the icy bottle. I picked it up and pressed it into my palm, hearing my mother shout again. "IRIS WAKE UP!" My body shot up in shock. It was only a dream. "For god's sake, Iris, you scared the crap outta me! Now get up, you have to eat breakfast." My mother told me. I looked down at my hand as she left the room, and saw the cold, red bottle still in my hand.
