"I literally can't believe this," Stiles says with his arms crossed, slowly spinning in a circle.

Derek rolls his eyes and closes his book. "Well if you didn't take so long picking out a research book, we wouldn't be here right now."

Stiles looks at Derek. "You know how long it takes me to find one that peeks my interest or find one to help the pack at whatever's going on that week," Stiles whines.

Derek stands up from his chair. "I know. If you think about it, it's not that bad being locked in here," Derek states. Stiles gives him a look like he's crazy.

"You're joking," Stiles says. Derek shrugs. "It's dark in here, I can hardly see but I bet you don't have that problem with your enhanced sight."

"No, I can see quite clearly," Derek says. "C'mon, there's got to be a way out."

"There isn't. You don't think I've already tried? Unless you want to use the fire door and trigger the alarm," Stiles says. "I need a flashlight. I didn't even get to finish looking for the book I want."

"Stiles?" Derek asks and Stiles looks over at him. "Your phone is literally a flashlight."

"Oh yeah," Stiles mumbles, blushing a little as he pulls out his phone and clicks on the flashlight. "You can come with me sourwolf. I need to find a book on witchcraft."

"Why can't you just use the internet like you do all the time?" Derek asks, following Stiles down one of the aisles. Bookshelves tower over them, making it even darker.

"No," Stiles replies. "All the good stuff is in the old books. I don't want any sci fi junk some nerd came up with."

"You're a nerd, Stiles," Derek comments. Stiles turns to him and shrugs.

"I know which is why I don't think if it as an insult," Stiles says then turns back around. "Get on my level."

"Your level is pretty up there. Don't think I could get on your level," Derek says.

Something creaks causing Stiles to jump back into Derek. "What was that?" he whispers.

Derek rolls his eyes. "Probably just a shelf shifting or something. Nothing to worry about."

Stiles slowly moves away from Derek but Derek can hear his heart thumping loudly. Derek sighs, pulling Stiles beside him and wrapping an arm around his waist.

"I'm right here. There's nothing to be scared about," Derek says but that doesn't stop Stiles from jumping as his light causes a shadow to form on the wall. "Stiles, it's just the shadow of this book lying halfway off the shelf."

"Still scary," Stiles mutters, pushing the book all the way on the shelf.

Stiles finally manages to find the book he wants after jumping at every little sound the quiet library makes. Now they're sitting back in the front of the library.

"You sure you checked for an exit?" Derek asks Stiles who's sitting at one of the many tables with his book and Derek's book.

"Yeah, why?" Stiles asks but he doesn't look up from his book. He's using his flashlight to read through the pages.

"I think you forgot one key thing," Derek says, catching the other boys attention. Stiles looks up at him as Derek points to the lock. "It locks from the inside."

"Oh," Stiles says, a blush coating his cheeks for the second time that night. "Then what're we waiting for? Let's go."

Derek rolls his eyes but undoes the lock, following Stiles out of the library and down to his car.

"Honestly you are so forgetful sometimes," Derek comments. Stiles smiles at him.

"You love it," Stiles retorts and Derek nods.

"That I do."
