AN: I was listening to this song in the car earlier on the way to school (ew) and thought of this little thing. It's short but it's something. Song should be up above!

Stiles softly sings along with the song playing throughout the house. Everywhere you go, you can hear the song quietly playing in the background but it was relaxing so the pack didn't mind.

"You don't know how you met me, you don't know why," Stiles sings. "You can't turn around to say goodbye."

Derek comes out of the kitchen and smiles at Stiles, plopping down on the spot next to him. Stiles puts his legs up on the couch and placed his feet in Derek's lap.

"I still don't get why you know this song," Derek comments.

"Let's just say road trips with my grandpa ended up in me knowing a lot of songs," Stiles replies. Derek nods.

"What do you want to do today?" Derek asks.

"Just chill," Stiles responds, leaning his head back and sighing.

You can faintly hear Lydia singing in the background. "Follow me everything is alright. I'll be the one to tuck you in at night."

"Have you ever listened closely to the lyrics?" Derek asks. Stiles shakes his head, his eyes still closed. "He's talking about a woman cheating on her husband with him."

Stiles stays silent for a minute. "Well that's nice," Stiles finally says. "That ruins the song now but man, it has such a lain back vibe."

Scott's singing now. "You're feelin' guilty and I'm well aware but you don't look ashamed and baby I'm not scared."

"Now I hear it," Stiles says. "And all this time I thought it was just talking about a guy and a girl meeting and like dating and stuff."

"That's what happens when you get older. You realize things your little kid mind wrote off as absolutely innocent," Derek says. He closes his eyes too, leaning back against the couch. Stiles is right, this song does have a relaxing vibe.

"Follow me everything is alright. I'll be the one to tuck you in at night and if you wanna leave I can guarantee you won't find nobody else like me," Stiles sings softly then mumbles. "Such bad grammar man. That was a double negative."

Derek chuckles causing Stiles to grin. It's how the rest of the day went too. It was essentially just one of those laid back days everyone needs every once in awhile.

Usually the pack would bicker over some little thing but today they seemed happy and quiet, nodding along to the music every now and again. Except for Jackson.

"Did you really have to have this lame song on repeat all day?" Jackson asks bitterly. Lydia leans closer to him and sings,

"You don't know how you met me. You don't know why. You can't turn around and say goodbye."

Erica joins in and soon, the whole pack is singing the song just to annoy Jackson.

"All you know is when I'm with you I make you free and swim through your veins like a fish in the sea," everyone sings. Jackson groans, pressing his forehead into the table.

"C'mon Jackson, stop being so stiff every once in awhile," Boyd says, nudging Jackson. "You're so grouchy all the time."

"Boyd has said the words of wisdom!" Erica says, raising her hands in the air.

Stiles shakes his head and guides Derek out the sliding glass doors into the backyard. The sun is setting, casting a light orange glow over the backyard that's sprinkled with fallen yellow and red leaves.

"It's so nice out here," Stiles says and Derek nods in agreement.

"Autumn is a great season," Derek comments. "Especially since we're out in the woods with our backyard surrounded by trees. We have instant access to all that autumn has to offer."

"Like raking leaves into huge piles and jumping into them and watching them scatter everywhere," Stiles says, smiling at a memory of him and Scott doing exactly that. "It will forever be my favorite time of year."

"Guys! Come in! Isaac said he was gonna make sugar cookies," Scott calls. [AN: I had to].

"Cookies?!" Stiles exclaims, grabbing Derek's wrist and dragging him inside. "Best chill day ever."
