Now, before you begin reading, I want to tell you that this is a true story. This story is my personal experiences with the paranormal, and the witnesses of my family members. (Please note, that if the story seems rushed, it's only because I'm telling what I can remember.)Okay, so, when I was around 6 or 7 years old, my father had rented a trailer somewhere in Oklahoma. It was kind of a run down, dumpy little place. But it was enough for us to live in for a while. I still remember the way it looked, it was an older style trailer. It had faded brown and white stripes that went around it, old yellow stained Windows and an old rotted wood porch. Along side us we had many others trailers. It was just an old neighborhood. Well the night we arrived, me and my sister, Baylee, had just gotten tucked away in bed while my parents were unpacking in their room. My dad comes into our rooms, and tells us to go into the room with him. Me and my sister, weary eyed, began to follow him. Him and my mother started looking through our box of toys. My father asked me "bitty, (my nickname.) where is your crying baby doll?" I rubbed at my eyes, yawned a little and said "dad, I don't have a crying baby doll." (Neither me or my sister did, only the ones that blinked when you tilted them a little.) my dad just gave me an odd look and said "alright, you two girls can go back to sleep." And we did so.
The next morning, my mom and dad were in the kitchen talking to each other about the crying that had kept them up. Unable to find the supposed baby doll, they were kind of freaked out. As was I when I heard the story. A couple months go by, and my cousin, who I'll just call Sarah, had come to spend the night. She was about 11 years old. Well, anyways, me, her, and my sister were doing typical weird kid shit, climbing the backs of the couch and pretending like the floor was lava. My sister looked up at the ceiling, and saw some blood stains that were no smaller than the size of a quarter, splashed around the trim of the walls. We told my mom about the situation, and being a mother, she reassured us it was nothing, and we continued to play. (To this day I'm still unsure of rather or not it was blood.) come Easter, my aunt had come over, along with many more of my cousins. Including Sarah, Annabelle, and Justin. (Reminder that I've changed the names for safety reasons. We had all been dressed up, Easter hunting the entire day, picking up prize eggs and what not. Me, Justin, and Annabelle had just sit down to see how much money we got. Each of us had twenty dollars. (To a 7 year old, that's good money, okay? Haha) Baylee and Sarah went into their rooms to gossip about school crushes and etc. when all the sudden, my mom, aunt, cousins and me all heard Sarah and Baylee screaming loudly while trying forcefully to open the door, and it didn't even have a lock. My mom, seeming a bit annoyed, advised them to stand away from the door. She turned the door knob, and it wouldn't open. At this point she already had began panicking, yelling to them to stay away from the door, even though they already had the first time. My aunt, nervous about her child to, knocked my mother away from the door and began frantically shaking it. The door knob appeared to turn in the opposite direction of the way she was turning it. And then, it finally opened. My sister Baylee and cousin Sarah ran out. Crying the collapsed to the floor and began explaining that they heard voices laughing at them, and in a language they didn't understand. My aunt immediately left, for obvious reasons. Okay, my last memory is one that will indeed haunt me for the rest of my life, one I can't make sense of, and one I don't understand. One day, my half sister autumn had just come over for a weekly visit. (My mom was sharing joint custody with my sisters father.)
Autumn was sitting on the couch alongside my mother, watching me and Baylee play super Mario bros. trying our best to defeat bowser. And fighting over who had to be luigi. My mom was smiling at us, kissed my forehead and then went to the bathroom. What happened afterwards, I didn't even notice. I must have been too fixated on my video game. My two sisters started screaming, and huddling around me. Being the bratty seven year old I was, I said "get off me." And continued to play. They were bursting in tears and waiting for mom. When she came out, they huddling around her and began telling her that through the opened screen door they saw a man, with a darkish green face pressed to the window. My mom thought they were just sleepy, and brushed it off. As she was explaining to us that every thing was okay, something caught my attention. In the doorway to mine and Baylee's room, I saw this dark smokey figure, seeming to shift into different cloudy shapes. I shakily pointed to it, and everyone started to scream. My mom hurriedly called her Friend, Sally, who'd attended many church meetings. When Sally answered over the loud speaker, she kept telling mom it was breaking up, and she couldn't hear her. Well, about 12 minutes into this, we all see the same figure, staring into the window, standing completely still. My mom ran for the door to shut it, and the thing flew back at the speed of light, away from the door. My mom, now bursting out in incoherent tears has no words for her friend over the phone. And it hung up.
Out of no where, just hung up. 20 minutes pass, hearing footsteps and random voices. When all of a sudden, these running footsteps, and loud ROARING, screams that sound unearthly fill the house and traumatize all of us girls. And it's not like we could just call my father, who worked nights and had to be away from the phone while he was busy. We could here it, boom, boom, boom, going from room to room as it got even closer, the scream sounding even more frightened. As it reached the living room, it just stopped. Silence. As if it'd never happened. We heard a knock at the door, and my mom ran for it. As she pulled open the door, to our surprise, Sally's husband, Teddy, was standing in the doorway. Explaining to us that he had never believed in paranormal things, even though he was a Christian man and should've, until he arrived there, until his wife told him to come check on us. He said as he stepped out of his truck, he felt the weirdest thing ever, and he didn't even want to go near it. But he did, when he reached the window to my fathers bedroom, he saw a dark black figure staring out at him.
The scariest part of this story, though, is that Teddy began praying around the house, and described to us the screaming he was hearing, and that it stopped when the prayer was over. Now, I stick close by faith. Believing Good is greater than evil. We ended up moving not shortly after. But the paranormal experiences didn't stop there... They just weren't as worse.
