{Adrien's POV}

All this excitement caused me to forget. How could I forget?! Marinette's birthday was in two days now and I was stressing out. We were throwing her a surprise party and nothing was planned, to my knowledge anyway.

And that was only one of my worries. There was the fact that two random people are now fighting crime beside us and they know our civilian form! It was terrifying knowing that someone I didn't even know was walking the streets knowing the biggest secret everyone in Paris was dying to find out.

I raced out of school as soon as the bell rung and ran towards the shop in which I was buying Marinette's birthday present. I saw it in the window as I walked by a couple of days ago and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

The shop door chimed as I entered the big room full of displays, cabinets and shelves. "I called afew days ago? It was under Adrien Agreste." I smiled brightly at the man behind the counter. A warm grin shon across his rounded face as he pulled out a box. Wrapped in ribbons and bows, he opened it up to view the contents.

"What a lucky lady" he grinned again. "She will love it son. Just make sure you don't break it on the way home" we both laughed as he patted my shoulder and opened the till to grab the change from the cash I had payed him.

"It's perfect!"

Nino had taken Marinette to a cafe while I stayed with Alya to plan out the day. Though she looked suspicious, she finally gave in to the pushes, shoves and little white lies and followed Nino to the destination.

"So did you get it?" Alya beamed with joy. I opened the box and her eyes shon with glee. "Oh Adrien, you have really outdone yourself this time. It's beautiful!"

"Lucky I saw it hey" I laughed.

"This party is going to be perfect! Now let's get planning."

/

I reckon we planned for a good 40 minutes before heading to the cafe. As we walked in we spotted the two sitting at the table eating cookies, chatting and laughing about God knows what. "Started without us ey?" Alya giggled.

"You took an hour what the hell were you doing!?" Nino piped in.

"40 minutes excuse me" we all laughed.  It was good hanging out as a group. We always had so much fun. I don't know how I ended up with friends like these honestly. What did I do to deserve them!

We talked for hours on end before we decided to head off. We went our separate ways; Nino went with Alya and I walked Marinette home.

"You don't have to walk me home I'll be fine" Marinette giggled. I grabbed her hand in mine and smiled. Her laugh was adorable.

"Don't like my company?" I joked around.
"You know that's not what I meant. I mean, it's just so out of your way and I don't want to be a pain and-" I cut her off.

"Your not being a pain and it's not out of my way. Being with you is the route I chose to take so it's exactly on my path"  I smiled into her eyes as I looked down on her. Our eyes met for a brief few seconds before we found ourselves at her front door.

"Well here's my stop" we both sighed. The sun was setting behind us and it was slowly getting dark.

"Goodnight princess" I kissed her hand and her cheeks became dusted in a tone of pink.

"Good night, Kitty" She smiled before entering her house. How does someone like me deserve someone like her? She's so perfect and I'm just a rich ally cat with practically no family.

I walked off with a smile as I thought about Marinette the whole way home. She was one of the few things in life at the moment that made me happy and I hope it can stay that way for as long as possible.

{Marinette's POV}

I heard a knock on my trap door as I was just laying down for bed. "Yep" I said loudly, hoping they would hear. Unexpectedly, someone came in from my rooftop. It was Chat Noir.

"Did I wake you?" He walked over.
"Not at all" I patted the bed beside me and he claimed the ladder. I was actually really happy he was here. Not for any particular reason, just his presence made me happy.

"What brings you here kitty?" I said before making room for him on my bed.

"I just wanted to say goodnight as I was passing by on my patrol." Oh shit the patrols.

He must of seen the shock on my face as he put a hand on my knee to reassure me. "Don't worry I've been doing them while you were injured."

"Really Chat you didn't have to!"
"I wanted to. You were to sick to go Mari don't forget that" He laughed, again, in a reassuring manner.
"Thank You." I smiled.
"Of coarse." He returned. The moment of comfortable silent we shared was nice. It was conforming but soon caused me to dose of onto the shoulder of my partner. The sweet whispers woke me as he climbed down the ladder and I noticed I was now tucked gently under the covers. "Good night My Ladybug."

{Adrien's POV}

Classes were over, the day before Marinette's birthday. "16 tomorow girl!" Alya beamed as her and Mari jumped up and down, sharing the excitement.

"Just think of all the things! Learning to drive, being counted as almost an adult instead of a measly teenager, oh and-" Alya went on to list things upon things about being 16. Nino pulled me closer to get close to my ear before whispering, "dude she'll be legal".  It took me a while before my face turned bright red.

Nino then proceeded to laugh hysterically on the ground, grabbing us a lot of attention from surrounding people. "Your, your face dude" he choked out. "I, I was J-joking"

"And your in tears dude c'mon" I laughed awkwardly, trying to process and forget almost what he just said while helping him up. Both girls were shocked and confused.

"What the hell was that" Alya questioned.

"She's-" Nino tried to choke out before I hit him in the rib cage and finished the sentence myself.

"She's going to be, um-" I paused, not knowing what to say. "She will be able to drink?" I managed to say but it came out as more of a question if anything.

Still confused, Alya accepted the answer knowing that we weren't going to spill.

We decided to walk down to the Dupain-Cheng bakery for lunch. It was a quiet walk but the silence was comfortable. Suddenly Alya let out a choke, scaring us all.

"What the hell Alya are you ok" Marinette laughed, helping her friend up from the staggered position she was in. Alya started bursting out laughing and we were all left to only wonder what happened.

"Nino I get it. I get t-the joke" She managed to choke out between laughs. Great. Just great!
