Chapter 5: Attack On Moonshine Cove Part 3

Kanan's POV
     "Ezra get back in the den with your mother!" I scolded as I tried to get back up.

     "But papa they'll kill you!" I looked into his big blue eyes and then looked to my mate. She had tears in her eyes not only for me but for her son. For she knew than life would never be the same.

     "Enough of this!" I heard Anakin shout as I was head butted to the ground again. "Jarrus, take care of your son." I looked to my father who had a strange yellow haze in his eyes and was foaming at the mouth.

     "What did you do to him?" I barked.

     "The Moonshine Moss." Was his response.

     My heart nearly stopped as he finished his words. The Moonshine Moss could make even the most harmless of animals into the most vicious animal of them all.

     As I tried to get up from my position, I felt a little warmth and my injured hind leg. I looked down to see my son Ezra  curled up in a ball by my legs. I looked towards my mate who was being held back by Kallus.

     "Ezra, go back to the den!" The little ball of fur looked at me with horror filled eyes.

     "I can't. He said he'll kill mama if I come back." I looked in the direction of my father who had made his way to my right flank. As I moved with him keeping my eyes stationed in his direction, Ezra had made his way in between me and my father.

"Stop please! Don't kill my papa! I'll do anything." Anakin stopped my father as he listened to my pups words.

"Anything?" He asked, a evil tone in his voice. Ezra looked at me with those big blue eyes before continuing.

"Yes, anything." Just as Anakin processed his words, he attacked me teeth bared. I felt a sharp pain in my neck followed by the cry of my pup.

"No! Why did you do that?" Anakin looked at him then picked him up by the scruff of his neck and carried him to his mate, Padmē.

"Because you only need one father." I watched Padmē look at me with sorrow in her eyes. I know she did not want to take Ezra, but she must do what her mate and Alpha commanded of her.

As I felt the blood flow freely from my neck, staining my coat. I felt the warm presence of my mate beside me.

"Kanan, no!" She started to lick my wound to try and clean it the best she could. I looked towards Ezra, tears scaling his bright blue eyes. As I did my best to get up, I felt another sharp pain from my opposite leg. I yelped in pain as I looked behind my to see... Zeb?

"Zeb? ... Wha...what... are.... are you... doing?" As I looked closer, Zeb had the same yellowish gleam in his eyes as my father did. I looked towards Anakin, who had a devilish look in his eyes.

"Orellios let him go." I felt the pain ease off my leg as my second in command let go of my leg. But as I looked around, my entire pack had the yellow haze. The Moonshine Moss.

"Give me back my pack... Anakin! And my pup!"

"The last I checked Jarrus, you are in no position to demand anything." I looked to Hera she had tears in her eyes.

"He's right Kanan. You can't even move." I looked to Anakin. He had a prideful look in his eyes. Then I looked to Ezra. He was being held by the scruff of his neck by Padmē.

Ezra listen to me. I will come for you. I don't know when and I don't know how. But I will come for you. I promise.

I saw my son nod his head as Anakin spoke.

"Enough of this!" And with that he took my son and my pack on an endless journey of misery.

"Kanan what do we do?" I looked at Hera tears lacing her green eyes. I got up the best I could and licked her affectionately.

"We will get him and the others back Hera. I promise."

Little help from Zootopia, but it's finished. Hope you liked this chapter. Sorry I havnt been updating a lot. School is killing me.
