Emmy's PoV
The night sky was polluted with purple, the stars simply twinkling now and again. My head was tipped up staring into space, who knew London could be so pretty at night? I was on my way home from work, again boring day.

A gun shot from the distance gave me a fright, I span round but saw nothing, this part of town was always scary at night, I wish my apartment wasn't here but since I have no other family members since the incident, I have no other options.

I flew my head to the ground, the shots were A LOT closer to me, I scrubbed behind the nearest bins, and watched. I was shaking, it wasn't particularly warm and I was really scared. I heard footsteps approaching fast, a guy ran past me, closely followed by another 6. I waited a few minutes before standing up again, making sure everything was clear.

I could see my house and walked quickly towards it. Before I knew what was happening I was plummeting towards the ground again, I landed on the concrete on my shoulder, my eyes shut tightly, I opened them after a few seconds, taking in what had just happened.

"Oh my god" I said loudly jumping back, I noticed a guy sitting on the ground behind another bin, he had his leg out, I must have tripped over it.

"Sorry" he whispered to me, I could tell he was in pain

"It's ok.. What are you doing out here?" I asked

"Shhh keep your voice down or they'll be back" just then I noticed the bullet hole just below his shoulder.

"Who? You've been shot, oh my god, I'll call an ambulance " I shout whispered.

"NO DONT." He said grabbing my ankle tightly making my drop my phone, he picked it up and threw it onto the road. The smashing sound echoed around the street.

"HEY!" I yelled

"I'm so sorry for this" he said standing up

"Sorry for wh--" a sudden pain appeared in my neck and everything went black.
