Kept in the Dark

I know its really really long but it has alot of details that i felt needed to be addressed. Let me know what you think!

They had been right. All the sci fi Hollywood directors, the story writers that seemed to just want to make a buck, the "crazy" scientist. Psh they had ALL been right. It was bound to happen the way nations kept ripping each other's throats out. I personally would have assumed china or Japan, some bull shit smart country, would have figured it out first, but no the beautiful US of A got it. Who would have guessed? Not my 10th grade biology teacher THAT'S FOR SURE. It is so unbelievable that some have gone so far as to say that it was an accident that no one could have figured something like this out. At least not for another thousand years. The best part, to me that is, is that soooo few have it. I mean naturally something of this magnitude, if shared among the common people, would get out. It would be spread to those other countries by those that "want peace and equality" yeah ok. Come talk to me when Korea isn't threatening to kill us. Oh wait they seemed to have stopped doing that since rumors of our "secret" started being spread around. Oh and the power! They only needed that extra chromosome just one little chromosome and the world was ours we had it all strength, smarts, health, sometimes beauty if that was the gift, or the "extras" the stuff the mad scientist weren't even sure about. It was the one thing that still scared the crap out of this country the one thing that kept the people from poking around too much but satisfied them knowing that they their country was once again the superpower and that as long as no one crazy took over we could MAKE the peace. Ah the "extra" I had it. A couple dozen other people had it. Another thing the sci fi network got right; it was sometimes connected to the elements, the things that we used to be part of, the things that surround us. Except fire I don't know what idiot said "Yeah the human body is going to connect with something that we can't touch without hurting us." Yeah no. Fire was out. Well at least I haven't heard of it being in. There was earth, water, air, and animals. Air was the best one to have, and I'm not just saying that because I have it, it really is. I will admit that animal is probably the coolest one to have, it's so different from the rest. Ok so if you don't have ANIMAL the next best one to have is air, and that's because everything you do is invisible every shield you make every gust of air you throw at your opponent every time you push air underneath you so you look like your flying. Technically we still can't do that BUT air guiders, yeah they call us guiders I know it makes us sound wussy I tried to fight the name obviously I lost, come the closest to making it look like that cause like I said we push the air underneath us and because you can't see air it makes us look like we are gliding. You can do it with earth and water too but it looks really weird. Actually no one really uses it like we do, because air is everywhere we can use it to jump higher or run faster. You can't really do that with earth, earth callers are like the big clumsy jock brother you have, strongest thing you have ever seen but kind of has only one purpose DESTROY. Water is graceful, beautiful and very deadly one well aimed shot at an opened mouth BAM your dead, and don't ever go out onto water with a water steer, I know WAY better name, that's like walking into a volcano it's just suicide man. Last but not least animals. Like I had said animals are different earth, air, and water are elements you can control them but they only have so many purposes like a shield or a punch or moving stuff but an animal ascendancy, yeah they got the best name too, they actually control animals. Some call them animal whisperers some say they become the animal. I know one he says he's just friends with the animals and they will do what he asks. I think the guys just humble. But not every "extra" is connected to the elements. Actually of the maybe two hundred people that have "extras" I would say a dozen have the elemental connection that's why me knowing an animal ascendancy is HUGE, and we just found each other one day, okay "found" is the wrong word. See when the shot was stumbled upon they needed test subjects so they went after a bunch of kids and tried it on them. Naturally because we are in the best condition of our lives and most likely to recover from something going wrong it just made sense to use younger people, and when I say younger I mean like 17-28 I don't think they they went any younger or older than that but I'm not a hundred percent I will get back to you on that one. Oh like I was saying when they first stumbled upon the drug they only took young adults with really little to no future, little to no family, and really nothing standing in their way from killing us, if things went wrong that is. It might sound a little harsh but it was the truth. So they picked like five thousand kids from all over the United States and well sad to say like four thousand of them died they don't know why we accepted the chromosome and some didn't they just well they just didn't, it was really sad. But they didn't let us know that all of these people were dying, and when I say they I mean the corporation. Yeah they actually call themselves the corporation not very original, I know, that's why I believe they stumbled upon the extra chromosome I mean come on look at the name. So it wasn't until we started getting our extra abilities, those of us that lived, that we started to figure out what was going on. Because the cor, as I like to call them, is very very good at keeping secrets they kept us away from each other in concrete rooms and they had only one doctor treat each person it was crazy. But I accepted my chromosome and so I started hearing really well like bat well and so I heard whispering and kids in rooms crying and so then I got upset and the doctor asked what's wrong and I told him and he just ran and got "the general" who was so scary I mean the man was like a human version of a bull in heat or something he was just so angry all the dam time. So they asked what I was seeing and hearing and stuff. I had basically become like a Hollywood version of a vampire, we all did in some way. Everything is super enhanced our strength and speed and sight and stuff it's amazing. I still amaze myself sometimes, but it differs from person to person just like the elements it kind of connects with whoever you are on the inside. Whatever makes you tick. I seemed to have picked up a little bit of everything which is rare and which is also why I get to write in you my beautiful journal! I'M SPECIAL. Yep you heard me journal I am special and I must tell you it feels dam good. Real dam good. Op that's the bell for drills, a.k.a. training, I have to go. I didn't even get to tell you about the cor training us! Well real quick basically like I said we are meant to keep the peace and since it's a big war out there they are training us for good, I think. I don't really see how the general could have a kind bone in his body but whatever I'm not here to judge, obviously, I'm a freak! Talk to ya later.
