Soon the hours went by, it shifted into chilly evening. I got trapped in my relaxation by crashing on the couch, watching this movie that I believe that I’ll never get tired of, ATL. As I’m chillaxing, I’m expecting Jacob to come by any moment to volunteer with me by cooking chicken wings. Right now, I’m totally feeling good because Craig and I was able to catch and arrest that bastard this afternoon. I can’t wait to spill to Jacob soon he get here, if he haven’t got the news.
Speaking of the news, I quickly snatched the remote control that was on the stainless glass coffee table and switched the channel to the local news for a hot second. I quickly scanned through the headlines at the bottom of the tv and it appears to be breaking news.
“New York investigators found and arrested thirty-four-year-old Alexander Torres earlier this afternoon here in Times Square,” The newswoman reported as she’s broadcasting midtown live. “Torres’s been arrested for influencing Jaqueline Perez for being a prostitute when she was a minor---not even passed the age of ten. He’s been missing ever since his relatively brother, Drew Torres, received capital punishment back in California in the year of 2000 for constantly raping Perez. Torres’s court trial is expecting to be on---”
Abruptly, my iPhone recieved a text alert. It was a text from Jacob and I unlocked my device. The message reads:
“Open the door :*”
Before I got up to reach the door, I exchanged the channel back on MTV rapidly and hopped up, opening the door and seeing a smiling Jacob. There’s no reason on why his smiles bright my moment.
“Hey beautiful,” I grinned. “Come on in.”
He walked on in to escaped the chilly weather and I closed the door behind.
“Where’s Ash?” He asked as he untangled his scarf from his neck and removing his leather jacket, hanging them up.
“She’s in her room playing with Drew,” I answered.
“What?” He asked with a cautious look.
Shit.
“I have a niece. . . that’s my considerable sister-in-law daughter. . . and uhh,” I tried to make my explanation understandable, but I ended up chuckling nervously. “Let’s just get to cooking.”
“Oh, sorry for that overreaction,” Jacob said sympathetically. “It’s just crazy whenever I hear my stepfather’s name, I get a little bit outta hand.”
“And speaking of that horrific case, guess what?”
