Adrian asked Jacob to sit where he was sitting so we all can pay attention to the life changing verdict. Jacob was highly nervous that his nerves was starting to tear apart. Every little movement he try to make, he’s shaking; that if you see him, you might predict that he’s shivering from the coldness. Even if you try to ask him a random question, he’ll maintain quiet. And as for Craig and I, we was eagering to know is Alex is definitely guilty and that we proved Adrian wrong the right way. We weren’t scared or backing up for anything.

“Has the jury finally reached a verdict, even though this trial haven’t lasted long?” The judge asked with a bit of curiosity.

“Oh your honor, we sure have,” One of the jurors retorted.

After that was answered, all of us knew that the permanent decision will be revealed.

“On the charge of forcing prostitution of the minor Jacqueline Perez, we find the defendant, Alexander Torres, not guilty,” The juror read off the paper.

“What?!” Craig gasped.

“During the testimony, one of the witnesses mentioned that Torres was also charged on sexual assault, what about that?”

“We find the defendant, not guilty on that charge as well,” One of the jurors added.

All three of us glared at each other in disbelief. Adrian just realized that he got another victory in another case that he gave Alexander a high five to quickly celebrate. But let’s get off on Adrian, because that the part I just don’t give a flying fuck about. Still having this incredulity feeling going on, Jacob’s eyes was quickly flooded with warm tears that he removed his lenses and stormed out of the courtroom in a blink of an eye.

He was humiliated.

After me, Craig, and the rest of the people in the courtroom watch Jacob dashed away, I decided to follow along by walking out. I spotted Jacob getting inside his vehicle, inserted the key into the ignition, and sped off from the parking lot like there’s no tomorrow. I entered inside of my Chrysler, turned on my engine, and began following Jacob tracks and keeping my distance.

As I’m controlling the wheel and speed, I don’t fucking get it. How in the world that Alex is found guilty that Jacob’s DNA proved every goddamn thing? Forget the hell on what that moronic fuck Adrian mentioned. This mean that we did all this investigating shit for nothing, because this system that America has today, is pretty fucked up. Moment before I asked Jacob out that night, he was being real honest that he was in his feelings. And as Craig and I are detective, we can’t be able to protest anything. What’s done is done.

Jacob parked his car in the parking lot on where his apartment was located and jetted out. He ran and quickly inserted his key in the golden brass doorknob and entered inside his home, slamming the door behind. I found a vacant parking space that was three car down from Jacob’s and claimed it, quickly getting out of my car as well. I reached to Jacob’s door and began knocking vigorously.
