It reached day two for this trial to continue on. Instead of throwing on a formal Tom Ford suit, I got dressed in a grey vest with a button down shirt under it. I weren’t gonna place on a blazer because today’s weather isn’t gonna be cold like usual. But let’s skip to the court stage.
When the jurors arrived and getting some shit settled, I spotted Adrian talking to his client, Alexander. I’m not interested on knowing because Adrian knows that he can’t get everything his way. That’s one of the points that Craig and I have zero respect for him. Main point is that he brags all the damn time; ever since we were little kids. From his perspective, he thinks that he’s better than us. Just because other than being some damn attorney, he’s getting married in some months, have a house that’s nicer and bigger than mines, and can sing and dance like a fool. Craig does the same too! But other than that, I nowhere give a fuck about Adrian’s life.
When everything got adjudicated, the courtroom got quiet so we can get this case on the roll. I saw my exquisite boyfriend sitting with his mom looking a little worried but wondering about what’s gonna happen sooner. With his glasses on and hair tied up to a messy curly puff like usual, something tells me that I’ma hit that tonight. . . if ya’ know what I mean. But dammit, it’s still too early for the sex to kick in.
Last night, we didn’t talk overnight because Ashton and I was having dinner at his place with him and his mom. I was nervous as hell talking to his mom because I doubted that she’ll accept me. But luckily, she did. Also, she loves my daughter already.
I’ll admit this. Already, Jacob is like one man that I wanna take to my mom and he’ll might get along with her just fine. And that’s when marriage would probably come to mind later in our relationship.
“Good morning everyone,” Craig greeted in the silence courtroom. “I’m once again Detective Crippen and this is Detective August and this is day number two on proving that Alexander Torres is guilty based on testimonial by eyewitnesses. I will go straight into it and call the MAIN victim of this case. Jacob Perez, can you please come up to the stand?”
Nervously, Jacob got up and started to swear.
As for Alex, he was starting to get a little confused…
“Do you solemnly swear or affirm to the best of your knowledge that the statements you are about to give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?” The judged asked.
“Yes, ma’am,” Jacob answered and sat up to the podium.
“How do you know Alex?” Craig start inquiring.
“Ever since he dropped out of high school, him and my step dad use to come over and talk,” Jacob replied. “Since there sibling bond was. . . close.”
