"Pey!" I scream. She slams onto the brake, "What?!" she screams. I tell her about Weston. She nods and starts to drive as I text Weston. I just tell him to meet me at the football field at Perry. Peyton gives me a look that looks like betrayal and excitement all in one. As I reach the field I see Weston on his Penny board rolling around the track. I walk up to him and sort of sneak up on him. "Hey Lexy," he tells me. I get very excited and I straight ahead say it, "Will you go to Homecoming with me?" He shoots me a look of confusion and excitement. He tells me, "Why the change of plans?" I look at my hands, "Because I realized I wanted to be with you," I say softly. I'm fiddling with my hands. He takes them and says, "I'd love to." I smile and I tell him to wear something pink. He laughs. That went better than expected. And as I return I see Peyton in the car crying. She's such a sop.
