10) A Fake

I sit in class feeling bored and lonely. My life is so dull without Kai here to talk to me or be a hero with me.

I remember a couple days ago when Matt said hi to me in the hall.

It's been forever, why haven't I seen him during the year before?

I get deep into thought when,

"Nora!" Yells my teacher.

I shake and fall out of my desk, "Huh?"

I look around and see every staring at me.

"No day dreaming! Save it for after school or at least not this class." Says my teacher.

"I'm sorry sir." I say.

I sit back in my desk and everyone whispers quietly.

"Shh or you are all getting detention." Booms our teacher.

Everyone grows silent.

I sigh and decided to pay attention to my, besides even if I didn't, it's only Calculus, like I'll need this in the future.

I sit down on my bed and close my eyes. I think of today.

Ring ring

I look for my phone.

"Why did I set that stupid ring tone."

RING RING IM RINGING ANSWER ME

I pick up my phone, "Hello?"

"Hey it's Kai, I'm coming home tomorrow after school. Meet me at the movies after school, ok?"

"Oh sure." I say happily.

"Ok, sorry I gotta go, love you."

I sigh, "Love you too."

I hang up and sit back down. Matt... I remember him from kindergarten. All the memories come flooding in.

"Wait!" I yell as I sit up on my bed.

Matt moved to New York in 7th grade! And he just talked to me... Or was it Matt?

I open my locker and hear "Matts" voice.

"Nora, hey." He says.

I turn, "I need to talk to you."

He freezes, "Why...."

"Follow me."

He watches them follows, "Ok..."

We walk down and hall then I turn towards him.

"Who are you?" I boom at him.

"Uhh Matt." He says.

"No you're not."

He laughs, "You feeling ok Nora?"

"The Matt I knew moved to New York in 7th grade. And now your here?" I say.

He freezes. He look behind me.

"I...." He starts to say.

I look at him.

He runs down the hall and try's to escape. I reach out and make a trash can fly in front of him. It hits him and he falls. I pick him up with my powers and fly him back to me.

I look around and see everyone is at lunch. I quickly drop him and drag him to my car.

I put him in the trunk and drive to the antique shop.

I run in.

"Mano!" I yell.

I hear someone drop something them walk over.

"Oh hello dear." Says Patty smiling.

"Where's Mano?!" I say.

She looks at me, "Mano Nora's here and she needs you, now!"

He jumps up on the counter, "What is it Nora?"

"Someone's faking they are other people." I say.

Mano and Patty both have a confused look on their face.

"I'll explain in a bit." I say.

I go outside to my car and drag Matt inside the shop.

Mano looks at me then Matt.

"I had I friend when I was little named Matt, he moved in 7th grade and now he's back all the sudden. I asked "Matt" who he was and he tried to run off." I say.

"How did you get him?" Asks Mano.

"I used my powers."

"In public without you disguise?!" Says Patty.

"I know, I'm sorry, but I needed to stop him." I say. "But we need to find out who this really is."

Mano sighs, "Schools still going so leave this to me and Patty."

"Ok, thanks." I say as I walk towards the door.

"Mano jumps down and walks me to the door and sits, "And Nora."

I look down at him, "Yes?"

"Be careful."

I get in my car after school and drive over to the movie theater. The town is all wet from rain and people walk everywhere with black umbrellas.

I get to the movie theater and park. I get out and walk inside. I see Kai at the counter waiting for me.

"Hey." I say.

"Hey Nora!" He comes up and hugs me.

I smile, "I missed you."

"I missed you too! So what do you wanna see?" He asks as he leans against the counter.

"How about... The New Captain America." I say.

"Ooh yea, two for Captain America please." Kai says to the ticket person.

"Ok here, $8.50 please."

"I'll pay." Says Kai hands him a ten.

"Ok, thanks Kai."

"You're welcome." He says with a big cute smile.

We walk in and but popcorn. We sit down in the movie theater and holds hands.

I sit up in bed sweating. I look around and see I'm alone in my room. It's pitch black except my phone is ringing.

"Hello?" I say softly.

"Nora!"
