I wake up the next morning and get out of bed. I stand up and fall against my wall.
I look at my leg and see cuts and bruises. I look around my room but don't see anything I could use.
I hear a tap on my balcony door. I turn and see Kai standing there smiling.
I limp over to the door and step out on the balcony.
"Hey." I say.
"Hey, are you ok?" He asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say.
"At least schools closed today, now you don't have to go anywhere." He says.
"Yeah.." I begin to say.
"Nora?" I hear from inside.
"That's my mom! Hide!" I say.
He turns into a bird and just pecks the ground.
I go in my room.
"Oh there you are, I have to work today, late. I'll see you tonight." My mom says. She kisses my head. "Love you."
"Bye mom love you too." I say.
She goes out of my room and I walk back on to the balcony.
"She's gone." I say.
He turns back to him self. He smiles.
My dog walks out and stares at him. Kai smirks and turns into my dog and they have a stare off.
"What are you doing!" I say laughing.
"Bark bark!" He says.
My dog hides behind my legs and whimpers.
Kai becomes himself.
"Sorry little guy, didn't mean to scare you." He says.
He sits on the balcony edge. I hop on and sit next to him.
"So can you only shape shift into animals?" I ask.
"Nope. I can be people and objects, like a rock, a car, anything really." He says.
"That's awesome." I say.
"Yep." He says.
I look and see the sky starts to turn gray and I feel light rain drops.
I lay my head on Kai's shoulder. I keep looking at the city. He puts his arm around me.
I look at him. He looks at me.
"Wanna go out with me?" He asks.
I don't hesitate to answer I have liked him since I met him and I did wanna break up with Nathan to be with him.
"Yes." I say.
He smiles. He leans in and gives me a small kiss. When he leans back I look in his eyes and they twinkle. I smile.
He stands up and helps me stand up.
"So you're not busy today?" He asks.
"Nope, I'm free all day." I say.
He smiles. He picks me up and he makes wings come out of his back.
"Wait how is that shape shifting?" I ask.
"If I were an Angel so I get wings like one." He says.
I nod.
"Oh."
He laughs. We fly over the city while it lightly rains. He sets me down on a roof and he sits next to me.
"Woah the view is amazing." I say.
