11) Nora!

"What? Who is this?"

"Nora its me Kai! Help Mano and Patty are gone and the shop has been robbed!" Yells Kai through the phone.

"How did you know?" I say as I get out of bed and grab my jacket and shoes.

"My bracelet was glowing! Hurry!"

I run out onto my balcony and transform. I jump off the roof and land on another. I run over roofs to get to the shop.

I run in, "Kai!"

He steps into my view, "Nora! Help me look for Mano and Patty!"

He goes outside this alley and looks for them.

I go behind the counter and see shelves. I walk past each one and on the end I see something glowing.

I go over and see a charm laying on the ground glowing. I open it and a note is inside. I look up and see Patty on the floor.

"Pp... Patty?"

She lays there. I stand up and see a pool of blood by her side.

I gasp and tear up.

"Kai! Kai it's...." I begin cry, "Kai!"

He comes over and sees Patty, "Oh... Nora... I'm sorry."

I stare at her and cry, "But.. Wwheres Mano."

I hear a meow from the back of the store.

"Meow... Meow.. MEOW!"

We run back and see Mano stuck under boxes. We lift them up.

"Thanks, is Patty ok?" He says as he runs past us and limps on one paw. He turns the corner and sees Patty and stops, "Patty...."

We sit next to him and he looks at her.

"What has happened."

I sit on the counter and just look at Mano.

"I'm sorry Mano...." I say softly.

"It's ok.... But her time was coming soon... I'll miss her..." Says Mano.

He's curled up in a ball with his tail rapped around him.

"I'm sorry.." I say.

He sits up, "Don't worry... You two head home... You need rest... It's very early."

I nod.

Kai puts his jacket around me, "Let's go."

We walk out and walk home.

"Who did that?" I say.

"I don't know... Someone who's a killer." Says Kai.

"Well I'll find out tomorrow."

I wake up the next morning. I look at my clock and its 4:45 a.m.

"Ugh."

I leave at 6:45 for school. I slump back in bed and look at the sky. The sun makes the clouds pink and orange.

I lay there watching the clouds. I hear the loud traffic begin down below on the streets.

I get it if bed and grab my sweatshirt. I walk out onto my balcony and sit in a chair.

Pigeons jump around the balcony and look at me. I ignore them and just look at the sunrise.

All the sudden all the pigeons fly away. The wind grows strong.

"Well well well." I hear from behind me.

I turn and look up to see someone in s black suit looking down at me.

"Who are you?" I say walking towards the edge of my balcony. I feel my body hit it. I freeze.

They jump down only a few feet away from me, "That's none of your concern. But I need you to come with me."

I look behind me and then back at them, "No... you're bad news I can tell."

They laugh, "Good job, your smart! But really let's go."

They push me over the edge.

"Ahh!!" I say as I fall.

People below me see me falling and start to scream.

They person falls faster than me throwing something at the ground. A hole forms in the ground that looks like outer space and they fall through it.

"Help!" I scream.

But before anything can happen I fall through the hole.

Kai sits up in bed rubbing his eyes, "Nora...." He says softly to himself.

He looks around his room and sees the clock.

5:02 a.m.

He looks at his bracelet and sees it's glowing.

"Crap." He says.

He jumps out of his bed and transforms.

He walks out of his room quietly. He walks past all the doors in his house and his dog follows him.

"Shh Ben stay." He says.

Ben sits and wags his tail.

He smiles and walks to the front door. He quietly opens it and runs down the neighborhood street and turns into a bird and flies off.

I wake up in a bed.

"No!" I say.

I look around and notice the room I'm in is pure white and no widows, but lots of lights.

"Good morning." I hear.

I turn and see someone walk in.

"You." I say remembering what happened this morning.

"Oh good you remember me." They say.

They sit next to me and take off a mask.

It reveals their face. It's a guy that's only a couple years older than me.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"I want you and your necklace, Nora."

I freeze, "How do you know my name?"

"Oh well I've known your whole family for sometime... you see.." He says getting up and walking to the door, "I'm your long lost uncle."

I freeze, "Peter?"

"Oh so your mother did tell you about me? She's a great sister. But her husband is the one who's rude."

"My dad?" I say sitting up.

"Yes, your father. And his twin."
