Queen and King of the Darkside

Chapter Eight

Antanasia

It was rather difficult to sneak away from Mindy and Saasha, but I finally had my chance and ran for it. The girls were too busy with the cute guy behind the check out counter in Gap... Of all the high in fashion and exotic stores to pick from, Mindy runs into the Gap. I shake my head and smile. I stop and find the nearest store associate, "Can you kindly do me a favor? Can you tell my friends to meet me at Godiva in an hour?" I asked pointing to Mindy and Saasha. She nods, and I continue my escape.

It's only a few days away from Halloween and I need to get a few last minute things for my surprise. Mindy was right our tradition was going to live on, but what she didn't know was that I had already planned on its rebirth. I almost thought she figured what I was doing when she had suggested a girls night with movies.  

Lucius and myself have been setting up one of the larger rooms into my own personal theater... It was now only missing a few key electronics. I also wanted to get Mindy a "thank you" gift for the scrape book, and Saasha a little something as well she had never celebrated halloween so I want to get her a costume.

Saasha

"Melinda, where is Antanasia?" I asked looking around

"That's weird she was just standing here," she shrugs and says,"Maybe she went back to the dressing room, or she got tired of standing around and stepped out of the shop?" She sounded calm but her face had drained of color and her eyes flicked back and forth.

"Excuse me! Excuse me, Miss? Your friend and asked me to tell you to meet her in Godiva in an hour, so don't panic she's fine," A stout but beautiful woman, with Juliet on her name tag, stood in front of us smiling.

"Thank you, Juliet. Melinda shall we continue on with our merriment?" I stuck my arm out just as she had my first night in the castle. She took it and laughed a little.

"Thanks Saasha, I could kill Jess right now. I know shes not home, but what if someone knew we left and followed us here? She could be in danger..."

"I believe she's fine, she's a strong woman. And if all else fails, there will be a commotion... The women in our family don't go quietly." I patted the back of her hand and lead her to the nearest cafe to get some of this pumpkin spice stuff that Melinda has been going on about. "You order, I have no idea what I'm doing," I shrug.

She laughs,"We'll have two pumpkin spice lattes, and two cheese danish to go please." She pays, we find a table while we wait on our order. As we sit she asks me about Russia. I began describing the landscape and people, when I get the sense that we are being watched. I look around, and spot a man that just seemed out of place here. He smiled at me, then frowned when a woman carried over our order.

"Melinda, we need to leave and go find Antanaisa... now. There's a man in the corner watching us, but don't look. He doesn't belong here, and we need to leave." I grab her hand and our food and walk calmly but quickly towards the store we are meeting my cousin at, but instead of going directly there I make a few stops to make it look like we were eager to go back to shopping.

We entered a rather large department store which was crowded (perfect for loosing anyone following us). "Just incase he's following us we're going loose them in here okay?" She nods, but then smiles devilishly.

"I have a plan, Stay close... HEY EVERYONE LOOK ITS ANTONY COSTA! HE'S BY THE ELEVATORS!" Just then everything descended to chaos, every female in the store seemed to have lost their minds and went running towards the elevators. Melinda grabbed my hand and we disappeared into the crowd. I look back and sure enough the guy from the cafe was by the entrance looking quite angry.

Antanasia 

A roar of screams and thundering footsteps came from the other side of the mall. "What on earth is going on?" As I make my over to the noise, I see Mindy and Saasha running towards me.

"Oh, thank god! No time to explain we have to go, NOW!" Mindy says looking over her shoulder. "Shit, he's heading out of the store, he hasn't seen us yet we need to go!" She grabs me and we run into the nearest store that leads outside. We run until we find our driver, tossing our bags in and before jumping into the car ourselves.

"What is the matter my Queen?" Our driver shuts his door and starts the car not but a second after we slam ours.

"We're being followed we need to get out of here before they realize we're not inside." Melinda explains. He nods and floors it out of the parking lot, speeding off towards the private airport.
