"So how was yesterday? You were asleep when I got home. What happened?"
"Nothing interesting" I gave Ares a lame look.
In just a week, we will be presenting the play. And I'm not quite sure if Ican make it.
At the rehearsal.
"Hey Twinkle Star!"
Obviously, it was Rhaine. Well I'm not in the mood to kid with him.
"Having your period?" he asked as he followed me to the bench.
"What?"
"PMSing?"
What did he just asked me? PMSing? Seriously, how'd he learn about that girl thing?
I mean he's not the type to really care about girl stuff. For as far as I know, aside from bullying, all he ever love is music.
Rhaine might have seen the curiosity in me so he explained himself.
"Verdandi told me so."
VERDANDI?
Does he really mean Verdandi from the Drama Club. I just can't believe they're that close with each other to talk about stuff us girls usually keep to ourselves.
Without another word Rhaine left me still in awe.
"Hey, Spica. You're turn," Verdandi then called out.
It's my turn to show her my talent.
Verdandi said that I'm good and ready for the play. Good for me, she gave me time to relax then. But Rhaine still needed to polish his lines. I left him with Verdandi.
I really hope this play would be over so I can get rid of Rhaine. Sometimes I like him, sometimes I don't just like sometimes he's kind and most of the time he's just a d-bag.
"What are you thinking?" It was Ares, he is like a mushroom. He pops up from nowhere.
"Are you trying to scare the fuck off---"
Ares pinched my nose hard. "What did I tell you about cussing?"
"You said you're gonna pull this filthy tounge out of my mouth, but you never told me you'll turn me into Rudolph, the red-nose reindeer."
"That's what you get for being such a brat."
And then he held my head under his arm, the kind wrestlers do to their enemy.
"Hey, hey! Stop it kids."
"Dad??" we both blurted out in surprise.
"Surprise!"
"What are you doing here?" Ares asked as if Dad's not allowed to come to our school.
"Fetching you, of course. I have something to show you."
"Can't it wait until classes are over?" Ares seemed ashamed because other students are already looking at the three of us.
"It can but I just got too excited." Dad eagerly showed us tickets.
"What is that for Dad?" I asked him.
"These are plane tickets, Spica honey, We're having a vacation out of town tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? Are you insane Dad? It's not even weekend yet," Ares complained.
"I see nothing wrong on having a vacation on weekdays. Weekends and weekdays, there is really no big difference. Right, dad?" I got too excited, too.
....till next chapter :)
