Skye's POV

I finally arrived at the hospital, worried sick considering it had taken me over an hour to get there. I hadn't gotten any texts or calls since I had said I was on my way, which just made me worry more. I ran up to the security desk and found the room Jayy had been laid in. As I reached the doorway, utter shock and sadness ran over me.

His neck was wrapped in gauze, along with his shoulder. His eyes were shut and both my parents were asleep in the chairs besides him. I slowly approached his bed, sitting on the edge next to him. "Jayy, what have you gotten yourself into?" I whispered as I stroked his tangled hair. I looked away, tears streaming. I couldn't bare to see him like this. It was all my fault.

About 30 minutes later, the doctor stepped in, walking straight to me.

"Has there been any activity?" he asked with sad eyes.

"I just got here about 30 minutes ago. He hasn't moved or nothing since." I whispered. "So what happened? Do you know? Is he going to be ok?" Tears began to fall once more.

"He took two very deep wounds, one to the shoulder, one to the side of his neck. He's lucky to even be alive. He was passed out when the ambulance reached him and he hasn't awoken since. I honestly don't know what his chances are. I'm sorry. I won't know till I talk to him, see how he's feeling." And with that he left the room. Leaving me to my tears.

I looked back over at Jayy. He was more pale than usual. Oh Jayy. Why did I have to leave. Ik this is all my fault. I love you so much. I'd give my life in exchange for yours. Why am I so stupid!?

Just then I heard the beeps of the monitor quickened slightly, pulling me from my thoughts. I felt him shift a little, making my heart skip a beat. "Jayy?" I whisperd.

He just barely opened his eyes, searching the room. "Skye? Is that you?" he mumbled. His hand searched for mine and our fingers interlocked.

"I'm here Jayy. I will never leave you again." I felt the tears fall to the sheets beneath me.

"Promise?" he whispered.

"With all my heart. I love you Jayy."

"I love you too Skye. I..... I always..." and then the room was filled with a loud never-ending beep as the heart of my beloved Jayy stopped beating.

"No! Jayy! No!" I screamed. This couldn't be happening!
