A button... A freaking button... Wow. He wants to have the cops wear Zodiac buttons when he knows that they are trying to catch him. That's like saying "Hey, I'm trying to catch you and put you in prison but I'm just gonna wear these buttons to please you!" And to be honest... I'm pretty sure that they don't care if wearing Zodiac buttons would cheer him up.
