"Why did we have to get up so early?" Echo whined, she and Ever standing outside of Maria and Sebastian's bedroom, the double doors closed.
"Shhhh! Batman can hear everything we say if we talk too loud," Ever hushed in a loud whisper. "Besides, we need to wake them up so we can have fun!" She reached her hand out and quietly turned the knob, finding it wouldn't budge. "Dammit! He locked the door!"
"Oh, well. Guess it's not gonna work out after all," Echo shrugged turning to leave when a hand grabbed the collar of her shirt.
"How well do you know me?" Ever asked, holding her shirt.
"Pretty well, I'd say," Echo replied.
"Then you should know there's no stopping me," Ever smiled, pulling lock picks out of her trench coat and smiling. She let go of Echo and began working at the lock on the door. A few minutes later, there was a small click and the door popped open slightly. "Jesh. This guy has better locks than Buckingham Palace." Echo raised a brow at her. "Don't ask."
"Wasn't planning on it," Echo said as she and Ever crept silently into the room.
They moved silently across the floor. Echo had to practice for hours with Ever to perfect this one move. It was one of the reasons she was so tired.
They made it to the bed, intending to surprise Maria, when they realized there were two people in the bed instead of one.
"What the-?" Ever mouthed to Echo.
They stood up slowly, both their jaws dropping when they saw Sebastian in the bed with Maria, his arms wrapped around her and her head buried in his chest.
"Oh my God!" Ever and Echo yelled simultaneously.
Maria jumped up in surprise, her eyes wide and filled with sleep. Sebastian, however, sat up and glared at them menacingly.
Ever and Echo were still too shocked to notice.
"What are you two doing in here?" Maria asked sleepily, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"Well, apparently we're finding you in the arms of your lover!" Ever teased.
"My lov-" Maria started, looking over and realizing Sebastian was sitting beside her. She slowly looked back to Ever and Echo, who both wiggled their brows at her. "Oh, my..." She quickly jumped out of bed, threw a rob on, grabbed her clothes, and ran to the bathroom.
Sebastian watched her leave before looking back to Ever and Echo. He threw the blankets off of him, swung his legs over the side of the bed, and stood.
"You know, I am finding it increasingly difficult to think of a reason not to end your lifes," Sebastian said as he walked toward them, the look in his eyes making them back up toward the door, the room seeming to get darker and darker as his eyes glowed a vibrant red.
"I have a very good reason," Echo whimpered as they continued to back away.
"You had better hope so," Sebastian chuckled as black, shredded tentacle-like fibers came out of his back and formed into his wrinkle free suit, "because you're quickly running out of time."
"Oh great. Now we're dealing with Slenderman," Ever whispered to Echo.
"There's um... there's Maria! You wouldn't want to make her upset, would you?" Echo smiled.
Sebastian was about to reply when they heard Maria call out, "It wouldn't upset me if you do it right this moment."
"Thanks for the help, Maria," Ever called to her.
