When they both had finished eating, Lula went to the living room while Jack was loading the dishes to the dishwashing machine.
Then after a while, Jack came with a syrup medicine and a spoon. As soon as she realized what he was doing, she pouted.
Lula never liked taking medicine. She absolutely, truly, deeply hated the way they tasted. All bitter and disgusting. And some of them were so liquidy that it would drip all over her pajamas and she would have the hardest time trying to wash off the stains.
Jack saw how Lula was pouting and let out a small chuckle. "I know you hate medicine, but you have to take it if you want to get better," Jack tried to convince Lula to take it.
Lula still wasn't budging.
"I won't let you continue F.R.I.E.N.D.S. until you swallow this spoonful."
Lula looked up in anger. How dare he give such a dumb deal. She regretted not going straight upstairs instead of waiting for him. Oh well, she wasn't strong enough to go back up on her own and even if she did went straight upstairs, Jack would still chase her with the medicine.
"At least just smell it? It's not as bad as you think."
Now her expression turned from angry to curious. She slowly inched towards the medicine and took a small sniff. It smelled like..... candy. Like Jolly Ranchers. She looked at Jack.
"It's not that bad, right?"
"It's.... not."
"And I know for a fact that it tastes just as good as it smells."
Now Lula was starting to budge.
"Maybe this isn't so bad after all..." she trailed off as she finally gulped down the medicine.
It was just then that the medicine went down her throat that she realized the smell was just a mere distraction.
"EWWWWWWWW."
Lula swirled her tongue around her mouth as she tried to get the bitter cherry taste out. When Jack finally got her some water and she gulped it down & washed down all the bitterness, it was then she saw how hard Jack was laughing.
Lula knew he was good at acting from the whole airplane thing (a/n: nod at the movie 😉) but this was just insane. And the fact that he could convince Lula to take medicine was even more mind blowing.

And here is part two!!! And just a little heads up, I'm only doing two part stories whenever I feel like one chapter is too long, only then will I do this. :)
And also, Lula's reaction to the medicine was based off of a real life experience. IT SMELLED LIKE CANDY AND I WAS ONLY EIGHT. DON'T BLAME ME.
