It was another normal day. They were having practice that night but it was still noon and the couple of the house had nothing to do. The rest was doing their own thing; Atlas was in his room looking up fun articles—although his idea of fun articles are history and ancient civilization—0n his laptop, Dylan was in his room working out some stuff with the Eye, and Merritt was.. doing nothing. But unlike Lula, he actually enjoyed doing nothing and just staying still.

"Okay this isn't gonna work for me," Lula suddenly declared and stood up, kinda bouncing out, almost.

"I need to do something else. I can't stand just sitting down like this."

"Alright. What do you wanna do?"

"Are her books really that good? I've never really got interested in them."

"Yes, yes, yes, they are Jack. Just pick one out. Trust me; you'll love them," Lula assured him as she scanned the shelf for her favourite one. She made a little, "here it is" as she finally found it and pulled it out. A little dusty, but still okay. She took her seat on the beanie bag chair right beside her and began reading.

Lula had always loved Agatha Christie. Her books always left an impression on her. They were basically the inspiration behind some of her life decisions; it sounded weird, but it's true.

Jack had picked out his own Agatha Christie book and took a seat on the armchair across her & started reading it aswell.

However, Lula caught Jack's eye. No matter how hard he tried to go back to his book, he found himself gazing at his girlfriend. The way the beanie bag chair enveloped her as she rested her elbows on her knees. The way her beautiful eyes scanned the pages as she read her favorite author's books.

Jack caught himself looking at her one time, two times, three times. Eventually he gave up and set the book aside and just watched her. He let out a small chuckle as he watch her shrug a stray piece of hair away from her face and have it come back. As the minutes went by he watched in amusement as her eyes fluttered and her book fell onto her lap.

At that exact moment, Dylan decided to come in. "Hey, Jack—" He was halfway done with his sentence before Jack ran over to him and clamped his hand over his mouth. When he saw his confused expression, Jack nudged his head in Lula's direction, signalling to basically shut up.

When Dylan finally registered what was going on, only when he put Jack's hand away from his mouth while very quietly whispering, "Your hand smells like leather and dust."

"I just wanted to say that it's already pretty late and I want you both back in your room. We have a busy schedule."

Jack sighed but nodded nevertheless. He walked over to Lula, picked her up and slowly made their way back to their  room.
