Noah's POV
The first time I met Kelsey was when she first came to that party with Louis. If you watched them from afar, you'd think they were boyfriend and girlfriend. You could tell they cared for each other just by the way they looked into each others eyes. Heck, I could even tell that night even though I was completely drunk. Now, Kelsey was ignoring Louis and she acted like she hated him. I don't exactly know what happened between them but I feel like I should try to fix their friendship.
At first, Louis thought I was trying to steal Kelsey away from him but all I really wanted was to be her friend. What I saw at school was horrifying and it needs to stop immediately. Louis told me about the bullying but I never thought it was this bad. When I saw that guy, Drake, kick her multiple times, I wanted to punch him so badly until he was unconscious. I knew though that that wouldn't help the situation, I would just get into trouble.
"Noah, what's wrong?" Her sweet voice asked me. I turned to look at her and immediately felt sorry for her. She shouldn't feel worried about how I feel, I'm the one who should be asking her if she's ok.
"You really need to speak to Louis. He is worrying so much about you." I stated. I know she won't like what I'm saying but there was nothing more to say but that.
"Why do you care so much? It's not your problem to help our friendship." Kelsey said casually while picking at her nails.
"Kelsey, I'm just trying to help. If you really don't want to talk to him, then I won't make you but I'm just saying that that is probably what's best at the moment." I explained to her calmly. Her eyes made contact with mine and they stayed there for what felt like forever. I could tell she was thinking about her options but she didn't bother on telling me what she thought about everything. Then again, I barely know her so why would she just tell me?
"No." She stated.
"Ok, that's fine." I sighed then leaned back on my chair.
"Are you going to finish you soup or did I just make it for no reason?" I stated with a goofy smile which made her giggle slightly.
"I totally forgot about it but yeah, I'll eat it." She finally smiled again.
"Good cause it's homemade." I said.
"Didn't it just come from a can?"
"Maybe." I chuckled while pulling out my phone to check the time.
"Then it isn't homemade!" She squealed. The way her eyes lit up while she laughed at my comment warmed my heart. Kelsey looked way better when she was smiling rather then frowning and hiding from people or even worse, when Drake is around her. I don't even want to think about that bastard anymore.
"You should smile more often, it looks good on you." I complimented her.
"I'll smile if there are reasons to." She shrugs.
"Noah, were home!" My mother called out.
"Were in the living room!" I called back to her and waited for her to enter. My smile disapearred but soon came back so Kelsey wouldn't notice.
"Shoot, I didn't realize your parents were coming." Kelsey said. She put her soup onto the table, took the blanket off of herself and made sure her hair was fine. I never understood why girls always wanted to look so perfect.
"You look fine, you don't need to worry." I reassure her.
"Ok." She smiled to me.
Kelsey's POV
When Noah's mother entered the room, I almost gasped at how beautiful she was. She definitely did not look old enough to be his mom. Her red hair was curled slightly and she had the brightest smile that could make anyone that was feeling sad, happy again.
