"Thank you so much for dinner, it was delicious." I smiled politely towards Julie. Mostly during dinner, we discussed funny moments in Noah's childhood.
"Oh your welcome sweetie." Julie smiled as well.
I checked the time and realized I should have been home a while ago. "Well it was so lovely being here tonight but I need to go home to my mother."
"Well it was so nice having you over, make sure you come over again soon." Noah's mother informed me.
"I will gladly come over another time." I said. I then put my attention onto Noah then spoke. "I will also be looking forward to meeting both of your sisters."
"I'm sure they'll be happy to meet you too." Noah finally smiled.
"Come again soon Kelsey!" Julie called out to me once I exited the house.
"I will thank you!" I wave goodbye while Noah walks me to the sidewalk.
Once their front door closes, Noah begins to speak once again. "Do you want me to walk you to your house?"
"I don't want to make you walk." I shook my head. "But if you'd like, I'd be nice." I smiled.
"You don't need to worry about me."
"But you worry about me." I stated.
"Because you need someone to worry about you."
"That doesn't even make sense." I chuckled. We were almost at my house when my sickness was starting to come back.
"Kelsey? You don't look so good." Noah pointed out. Was it really that noticeable?
"Yeah, I just feel a bit sick. I'll feel better by tomorrow." I reassured him.
"Well, if it doesn't get better by tomorrow, I'll take you to the drug store to get something to help it." He smiled.
We reached my front door and I turned to face him. I surprised him by hugging him tightly. "Thank you." I whispered in his ear.
"For what?" His voice was soft and quiet in my ear.
"Being here for me when no one else was." I explained to him in further detail.
"So Kelsey, how was your night?" My mother asked me as I entered the kitchen. She was in her pajamas and looked like she has been waiting for a few hours.
"I'm so sorry I'm late, I didn't realize we would have taken that long. Noah's mom just kept talking but she was such a sweetie so I didn't want to stop her." I explained to her, half ignoring her question.
"I wasn't mad at you, I was just hoping for an explanation for why your later than you said. But by the sounds of it you had fun so I'm glad for you." My mom smiles. "Now, you should go to bed so you won't be too tired for school tomorrow."
"Alright, good night. Love you." I stated while hugging her good night. I ran up the stairs and into my fairly small room. All the events flashed through my head while I sat and stared at the ceiling. This new friendship could be good for me. It could help me forget about the Louis situation. Noah was always better off being friends with me then Louis was with me. He knew he was going to leave so why try?
Sickness was overcoming my body at that moment. I ran to the washroom and puked again. A headache was slowly developing which made everything ten times worse. Once I finished puking, I brushed my teeth to get the horrible smell away. After I went to bed and dreamt about happier times with Louis.
"Kelsey honey, your going to be late for school." My mother called from downstairs. My head was still pounding but it somehow became even worse. It was more of a migraine. The pain was getting to me which made me cry for help.
