"Kylie your first task is to go to the 8th floor and photocopy these for me." Mr. Dolan, or should I say, 'Grayson' said.

I nodded my head, taking the papers he was giving to me.

I turned around to leave.

"Oh, and come back quick." He said winking.

I turned back around so he wouldn't see me rolling my eyes for the 5th time today.

At this rate, I'll have my eyes stuck at the back of my head.

I exited Grayson's office and headed to the elevator.

The door was about to close.

"Hold it please!" I called.

"Thank you." I replied to the man, who held it open.

"No problem." He replied.

My eyes widened.

I recognized that voice after 7 years.

Oh my gosh, Ethan.

The elevator door opened and I walk quietly outside.

I turned back around to Ethan, so I could give him a good look at my face.

"Thanks for holding it." I said, smiling.

His jaw dropped at the sight of me, and my smile quickly faded.

Just as he was about to say something, the elevator door closed, leaving a barrier of glass between us.

I opened the door to Grayson's office, revealing Grayson talking to his brother.

"Nope. Not today." I said, turning back.

It was too late. They noticed me walk in.

"Kylie wait!" I heard Ethan call, and chase after me.

"What?" I whipped around.

"Wait for you to beat me up again everyday? I don't think so Ethan. Goodbye."

"Kylie please. Just hear me out." Ethan grabbed my arm and pulled me to him.

We were chest to chest. His hand still gripped my wrist tightly. I stared and got lost in his hazel eyes. I didn't remember him being this attractive.

Kylie. Your boyfriend. Alex, remember?

I suddenly came to my senses at the thought of that. Remember what they did to you.

I raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

"Please forgive me for what I did. I was stupid and childish, I never should've treated you that way. Please forgive me Kylie." Ethan pleaded.

No one should ever be treated that way.

He looked like he was on the verge of tears.

Maybe he really is sorry.

But he pushed you over the verge of tears Kylie. Everyday and night.

Don't forgive him.

I was fighting with my conscience so much on whether I should forgive him or not, that I forgot he was even there.

That's when it happened. The memories came back like a flood.

Panic Attack.

The parking lot.

The playground.

The school.

My House.

Everywhere.

I almost fell to my knees. Uncontrollably shaking in fear. The world and people around me spun. Tears flooded my eyes.

I was pulled close to someone. They were soft.

Comforting.

It was Ethan.

The last words I heard were,

"Don't worry babygirl. You're safe."
