Trey awoke tied to a support beam in the old woman's shack. He looked around in his dazed state and saw the old woman looking expectantly out the window.

"What happened where am I? Who are you? How long have I been out?"

"Whoa! Hold your horses young man! First of all, you're in my home, Second, I am Bagetha Birdshaw. Lastly," She looked to her watch-less wrist, "about seven hundred years." He stared at her and noticed her seriously set face. She did look worse for ware, she was shorter, more hunched over but her voice hadn't changed.

"How is that possible?"

She chuckled."Easy."

He waited for a real answer but sensing she wasn't going to elaborate he sat quietly, confused. A few minutes later she opened the door, spoke a few words he couldn't hear then dragged the person inside. A young girl of about eighteen stepped through the threshold. Then, Bagatha knocked her knuckles on the girl's skull and she was out cold.

"What the heck!? Who is she?"

"All in good time, boy,all in good time."

Gabriella woke, sitting on a chair with her hands tied behind her back.

what the hell is happening? She asked herself. when her vision cleared more she looked to see a boy about her age tied to a support beam. Then she saw the same ancient old lady.

"You and Trey here should learn that staring is not polite." The old woman came over and adressed them both. "Now, im sure you're both very interested in why I've brought you here."she put her hand up to stop them from speaking, "please don't speak until I have finished." Gabriella stared blankly as the old woman cleared her throat and began.

"Five million years ago, the was a shaman that had tremendous powers, Mildokth. She could bring back the dead and control the natural things happening on earth. One day she had a vision, a vision of what today's world would be like. She became mad, obsessed with stopping it from coming true. She was about to bring about Ragnarock, the end of the world. The people of her tribe knew this would happen if the damage continued."
Bagetha coughed and paused to catch her breath. Gabriella swore she caught the corner of a smile touch the old woman's mouth.
She continued,"So they decided she had to be killed, being the strongest and most talented warriors, her son and daughter were put to the task. Marko and Adrea succeeded in stopping their mother, but what they did not know was that she had awoken the Great Clan. These are the ancient beings that shaped the world and began life on earth. They wanted to rule the world on there own without any other intelligent species, but their children saw potential for the good of all and began the evolution towards man. The Clan found out but the children overpowered them and placed them in eternal sleep. Mildokth had discovered the Clan and begun THE REAWAKENING. Marko and Adrea slowed down the process but soon they will awaken and you two are the only ones who can end Ragnarock. " The old woman finished her story and chuckled. Trey assumed she was laughing at the looks on both their faces.

Gabriella couldn't believe it. Some old lady who lived in a tree just told her the end of the world was about to happen and only she could end it? who was this lady? What a weird day!

The man she'd introduced as Trey shook his head and blinked multiple times, "What? You're crazy! how is this possible, if what you're saying is true then you pulled me out of my time before, Gaby, is it? was even born!"

"Yes, there was prophecy I learned about when I was little and it told of two teenagers from different times that then would save the world."

"How did you know it was us two? it could've been anyone!"

Bagetha shook her head and spoke in a mock-sympathetic voice, "No, it couldn't have been because you, Trey, are the fouteenth decendant of Markov and you Gabriella are the twenty second decendant of Adrea. They were specified in the prophecy as the two."

Trey was going to argue but he decided against it, Gabriella tried to stand but remembered she was attached to the chair.

"So you've been watching and waiting all these years to get us, watching us, manipulating us? Why? Why let us grow up and be normal? Wait why am I even considering this to be true? You're crazy!!

Bagetha chuckled and shushed Gabriella. "Yes, well. I'm not proud that I caused the disagreement between you and your friends and wiped Jared's memory of your birthday but all the circumstances had to be right for you to come here tonight."

"WHAT? You! You did this to me, that was the worst day of my life and you made it happen! Well I'm sorry I can't help you even if I wanted to. Go find my parents maybe they'll help you."The anger she felt overwhelmed all her common sense and she seethed without speaking. Perhaps she was being immature but this was a crazy tree lady. Bagetha's head lowered and she turned to look at Trey.

"Give the message Trey, now." For a moment he looked confused but then he spoke from memory.

"Our hope, Our life, Our families, our universe rests on your shoulders. Your stubborness will doom you, your friends, your family, your future. Don't reconsider and you have murdered everyone and everything you love. Think again Gabriella. "
