Chapter 6

Lucas POV

I was on my way to meet up with Farkle. He asked me if I wanted to make a business run for him for his Dad's company and I told him I would. Plus the fact that Maya really needed a day with Riley. These pregnancy hormones are off the walls. She'll be happy one minute, angry the next, then be in tears. Some of the times that her mood swings took effect it would be hard for me to not laugh at her. The only good thing coming out of all this is the sex. She's been so horny lately that it's getting hard to keep up with her. Farkle picked me up at 11AM and together we went on his business run. 

"How has Maya been doing?" Farkle asked breaking the silence that filled the car.

 "These pregnancy hormones are going to be the death of me man. The only good thing coming out of it is that's she's been horny as hell lately." I replied and he chuckled. 

"Just keep telling yourself you are over the halfway mark." he replied. 

"She flipped out on me last night because we didn't have any chocolate. Its like she never even told me she wanted some." 

Farkle started laughing "That's actually kind of funny.Did you end up going and getting her some." 

"Yep and by the time I got back with her chocolate she was over it." I replied. 

"Riley kind of gets that's way when she's getting her period. She had a pregnancy scare last week but it turned out everything was fine." Fakle replied. "And to be quite honest I'm thanking god for that." 

I started chuckling, "It's scary at first but you really get used to and fall in love with the idea. Especially as you watch the body changes. Maya's little bump is so cute. Aside from the pregnancy stuff how have you been?" I asked him.

"Good! I'm excited to start classes for Medical Technologist at school." he replied. 

"I'm happy for you Farkle." I replied. 

Farkle and I did whatever he needed to do on the business run then we went to lunch. I knew soon enough I'd be back to seeing Maya. I miss her when I'm not with her. But luckily Riley is there with. 

Maya POV

Lucas was hanging out with Farkle today so I was stuck here. Riley was going to come over and hang out with me. She got here a little after 11AM and was so happy to see me. 

"Peaches! You look so good." she said as she came in to the apartment. 

"Thank you. My hormones have been so out of whack lately Riles." I said as I walked over and sat down one the couch. 

"It's normal, Maya." she sad as she sat down beside me. 

"I've lost count of how many times Lucas and I have had sex this week. Like I've been so horny." I replied and Riley chuckled. 

"Well I'm sure Lucas isn't complaining." Riley said and I laughed. 

"No I think he's loving that part of it." I laughed. "It's the mood swings and crying that are a pain in the ass right now." 

"What do you mean?" she asked .

"I got so pissed off at him last night because we had no chocolate and it was seriously not even his fault. Like he didn't know." I said and Riley started laughing, 

"Oh Maya, he loves you and Kinleigh so much already. He won't take it personally."  

"I'm so excited to meet her Riles." I replied with a smile. "I can't even tell how amazing it is to feel your baby inside of you. It's the most amazing feeling in the world to feel that and then to feel her kick. It's incredible." 

Riley took her hand and placed it on mine "I'm so excited to meet her too. You're going to be such an amazing mom Maya! You and Lucas are so perfect together."  

I really hadn't wanted to admit this to anyone but I figured I could tell Riley anything "Riles, I'm so scared that he is going to leave if things get tough." 

Riley turned to look at me and she grabbed my hand into hers "Maya, he would never do that. Lucas wants to be in his child's life and he loves you so much. 

"It just kills me because I want my baby to have her father in her life. I didn't have a dad growing up. The closest person to a Dad that I have is your Dad." I said to her with a smile. 

"You know Maya, I understand and those fears are normal. My advice is to have a talk with Lucas about it." 

"Yeah, I think I'm going to have to." I replied, 

After chatting for a little bit Riley and I decided to start on painting Kinleighs room. Lucas and I were careful to paint that was safe for me to work with while pregnant. We kept the windows open too so that the air could come in. We got one side done and then Lucas showed up and said Farkle was outside waiting for Riley so Riley left. 

"It looks really nice, Maya." he said with a smile as he walked over to me. "How are you doing?" 

"You like it? And I'm good." I replied. "I think I'm done for the day though. Going to shower then come out and see you." 

Lucas leaned down and kissed me softly. Go do that now then cause I have missed you. I kissed him once more and then went and got a shower. Once I was all cleaned I put one of his shirts on and wore it like a night gown. I walked into the living room and sat down beside him on the couch. 

"Can I talk to you?" I asked him. 

Lucas turned to look at me and grabbed my hand  "Of course. Whats wrong?" 

I started crying and wiped away a tear "I'm scared you are going to leave me after she's born because things get too tough. And I don't want Kinleigh to grow up without a Dad like I did."  I sniffled. 

"Maya that will never happen. I know we have been over this before but I promise you that it won't happen. I want to be with you and our daughter. Do you know how much I missed you today while I was with Farkle? I missed you so much and couldn't wait to get the fuck home to see you." 

"Shocking considering my moods as of late." I replied and he chuckled. "I missed you too." 

"Yeah when you have them you are total pain in my ass but I love you and I wouldn't change it for the world. This will all be wonderful memories once she's born. We will look back on it and laugh." he replied and I smiled at him.  "Let me see your belly." 

I sighed but lifted my shirt up for him "She's really starting to grow." I replied. 

Lucas placed his hands on belly and then looked at me and smiled ."You are giving me the greatest gift I could ever receive and there is no greater feeling then watching my girlfriends body change and seeing how our baby is growing inside of her.  I can't wait to be a Daddy to this little girl. I can't wait for you and I to officially be a family when she gets here.  She's going to complete us and make us whole. And it's all because you. My heart couldn't be more full. I I love you Maya." he said and by the time he got done talking I was crying. 

I scooted up into his lap and laid my hand on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around me and once I  stopped the tears from flowing I looked up at him "How did I get so lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend who is going to make the best Daddy ever to our little girl? Kinleigh and I are so blessed. I love you Lucas." 

Lucas tilted my chin up to look at him and then gently placed his lips on mine. I deepened the kiss and traced my tongue along his bottom lip. He allowed me access to his mouth and we kissed passionately for a few songs before pulling away. He smiled at me and I looked into his beautiful green eyes, "I love you too Maya and nothing will ever change that."
