Chapter 27

A/N: Mature content a bit towards the end. LOL went a bit out of my comfort zone. 

Maya POV

Once we got in the car and actually went on our way to start our night out that's when everything just hit me and I ended up having an anxiety attack. Lucas being the trooper he is just let me cry it out because he knew at that point I need to work through it myself. When the anxiety subsided I started to feel a lot better. Lucas had outdone himself. He took us to a place called the Water Club Restaurant' in Manhattan which over looked the water and had a beautiful view of Brooklyn. Once we parked Lucas reached over and grabbed my hand. I looked up at him and was finally calmed down. 

"Are you okay now?" he said to me with concern showing in his voice. 

"Yes, I'm fine. I'm sorry Lucas. I don't want to ruin your night." I sniffled. 

"You could never ruin my night Maya. I understand how hard this is for you. I think it's pretty common. Especially since you have not left her side since she was in that neonatal unit." he said as he rubbed his thumb along hand. 

"I appreciate it more than you know that you pushed me to do this. There will be times I can't always be with her and I need to get used to that." I said with a smile. 

"Good. I love you." he said as he leaned in and kissed me softly on the lips. 

I pulled his face closer to mine and smiled into his mouth before pulling away. "I love you too. Lets go enjoy our night." I said with a smile. 

The dinner was a bit pricey for my liking but Lucas insisted that it was fine and that he really wanted to treat me. I settled on ordering a Chicken Caesar salad and he got a steak. 

"The city view is so beautiful. " I said to him as we waited for our food. 

"It's not nearly as beautiful as the view that I have sitting directly in front of me." he said causing me to blush. 

"You're so sweet Huckleberry." I replied. "And you're pretty handsome yourself." 

The wait for our food wasn't too long. My salad was delicious and Lucas of course gave me a bite of his steak because it looked so good I wanted to try some. As I was in the middle of eating my salad my phone lit up. I got alarmed for a minute that something was wrong with the baby but once I looked at it I couldn't help but smile. 

"Awe look Daddy, somebody is sleeping on Cory who is also asleep." I chuckled as I held up the phone so Lucas could see. 

"Awe, she is out hard isn't she? I have to admit that I am missing her a little bit." Lucas replied. 

"Topanga said that she fed her after we left but then she started fussing so Cory gave her a bottle and the next time she looked over they were both sleeping." I replied. "And I miss her too." 

"Can you believe we have a kid?" Lucas chuckled. "Like sometimes it's still unreal to me." 

"I know right? This time last year is when we found out." I answered. 

"It's hard to believe it's been a year already." Lucas replied. 

"We have been together for almost a year in a half too." I said with smile.

"I wouldn't change it for the world either." he replied.

Lucas and I finished up our dinner then after we paid for it we left. We were walking hand in and hand to the car. I turned to look at him and smiled.

"What else do you have planned for us?" I said to him. 

"I was thinking we could just go pick up the baby and go back home. I miss her." he said and I couldn't help but grin up at him.

"What do we have here Huckleberry? You were trying to get me to enjoy myself and I do but its you that wants to go back home because you miss the baby." I said to him with a grin and chuckled.

"The picture of her and Cory sleeping really made me miss her because usually at that time she's sleeping on me." he said with a grin. 

"You're such a softy but I love you." I said to him. 

Lucas and I went to pick up Kinleigh. It didn't take us long to get there either. We were so happy once we were finally home with us. She was so happy to see us too which made my night. Once home I changed into something comfy and then put her in bed with me to see if I could get her to go down. She had just latched onto me when Lucas joined us in bed. Kinleigh was so cute when she fed off me. I couldn't help but chuckle as she had her little leg in the air holding onto it with her little hand as she fed off me. Once she caught sight of Daddy she pulled off and looked up at him with a grin and cooed at him. 

"You need to go night night for Mommy." he said and she smiled at him. 

"Tell Daddy he has to quit being a distraction to you." I replied. 

Kinleigh grinned at us then turned her head back to my boob and latched on again. Lucas shut the light off and pretty soon within about 10 minutes Kinleigh was fast asleep. Lucas picked her up and took her to her crib in the nursery.  I was laying in the bed on my back looking at my phone when Lucas came back into the room. He stood at the bottom of the bed and pulled the covers up and crawled under them making his way up my body. I started giggling but stopped once his lips landed on mine. His lips traced along my neck and I let out a small moan. His hands began to make their way to my thigh. I felt him move his hand upward underneath my night gown. His touch caused my breathing to speed up and my heartbeat sped up. He knew how to make me feel so good with one simple touch and it would never not amaze me each time he did. 

"You're so fucking beautiful." he said as he began to rub me then he placed his lips on mine. 

I moaned into his mouth as he continued rub me. He stopped after a few seconds to help me get naked then he moved down on my body. I felt his mouth on me and nearly lost all control. After a few minutes I couldn't take it anymore. I stopped him and he back up to me and grinned.

"You want me that bad?" he smirked. 

"Shut the fuck up." I said as grind into him. "You want me just as much. I can feel it." 

Sex with Lucas was always amazing. He knew what I liked and what I didn't like. Tonight was truly an amazing night and much needed for the both of us. As much as I love our baby girl Lucas and I need to have some alone time too. I'm so thankful that Topanga kept her and Lucas forced me to go out.  After making love Lucas and I cuddled in bed before eventually falling asleep. Tonight was so perfect.
