Chapter 32

Maya POV

Lucas, Kenzie, Kinleigh and I flew out of NYC this morning and arrived in Texas within an hour. It was so nice to be back again. Kenzie was very excited about this vacation and Kinleigh well she did very good on the flight. Lucky for us the flight was only an hour long. When we got there Sam picked us up at the airport. Once Lucas got Kinleigh's car seat all set up we set out for the farm. It didn't take us long to get there at all. McKenzie was so excited to see the horses. When we finally got there Lucas and I were both very surprised to see there was a bunch of baby stuff there. Lucas and I had planned on going to get a pack n play later on the day but it turns out we didn't need to. 

"Dad, who bought all of this stuff?" Lucas asked as he looked everything over. 

"Your Grandmother bought it all the minute she found out you guys were coming to visit." he chuckled. 

"Nanna is the best." Lucas said with a smile. 

After I got done feeding Kinleigh I handed her to Sam so that he could hold her. I was curious as to how she would be since she doesn't really know him that well but she did just fine. 

"Maya will you go outside with me?" Kenzie asked as she walked over to me as I sat on the couch. 

"Yeah we can go out in a bit baby. We can take Kinleigh for a walk and maybe Lukey can show you the farm animals." I said with a smile as she sat down beside me. 

"I can't wait to see the horses." McKenzie said with a smile as she cuddled into me. 

Sam handed the baby back to Lucas since she was wanting him and then we decided to take Knezie outside. Lucas was excited to show her the farm animals. After putting Kinleigh in her stroller we made our way to the barn. It had been awhile since we had been here. Lucas walked over to one of the horses and began petting them. 

"Kenzie this is my horse Huckleberry that I would show on FaceTime." Lucas said and Kenzie started giggling. 

"I still can't believe you named the horse after Maya's name for you." she said and I chuckled. 

"Yeah Lucas how lame." I teased and he rolled his eyes at me. 

"I was missing you so I named him Huckleberry. Sue me." he said and I laughed. 

"Can I ride him, Lukey?" Kenzie asked. 

"Yeah let me saddle him up and bring out of the barn." Lucas replied. 

After Lucas got the horse ready he rode it outside of the barn. I followed him out with the kids. Kinleigh was very intrigued by horse and curious as to what exactly Daddy was doing.  Once we got out there he got down off the horse and then lifted McKenzie up on to it. She was so excited about having a pony ride. Lucas took Hucklberry by the reigns and walked with him as Kenzie rode on his back. I took some pictures of Kenzie on the horse so that I could send them to Lucas mom who I knew would love to see them. Once Kenzie was done Lucas took her off the horse and then he got back on him. I have to say Lucas looked pretty fucking sexy. He looked at me and grinned. 

"Maya, hand me Kinleigh. I want to take her for a ride." Lucas said with a smile. 

"Are you sure it will be okay?" I asked a bit nervous of having Kinleigh on there. I knew she'd be safe with Daddy but it still made me a bit nervous. 

"I promise she will be fine. Huckleberry is tamed good." Lucas said with a smile. 

"Yeah I got him on a pretty good leash don't I?" I teased knowing I'd get a reaction and he rolled his eyes at me. 

"You know who I meant pain in the ass. I should have never named him Huckleberry knowing that's your nickname for me. " he said and Kenzie covered her mouth when Lucas said a curse word. I couldn't help but chuckle. 

"Language in front of the children." I replied and Lucas rolled his eyes at me once again. 

I took Kinleigh out of her stroller and of course she got very excited the moment I lifted her up to hand her to Daddy. I handed her to Lucas who put her in front of him one the horse. My heart was melting at the sight in front of me. This is one of my baby girls many firsts. Her first pony ride with Daddy. I took my phone out and snapped some pictures then Lucas and her began to ride. 

"She loves Lukey doesn't she Maya?" Kenzie said as she looked up at me with a smile on her face. 

"Yep. Hopefully if Lukey and I have another baby that one will be more for Mommy because this one is all about her Daddy." I said to her with a laugh. 

"I never had a Daddy, Maya only Lukey." Kenzie said and that was the first time ever  that she's mentioned her Dad to me. 

"You know what though baby girl? You might not have had a Daddy but you had Lukey and in my opinion you are pretty damn lucky for that because he's amazing." I said as I looked down at her. 

"Language near the children." Lucas said as he and Kinleigh got back to us. 

"You both need to watch your langue near the children." Kenzie said to the both of us. Lucas and I looked at each other and laughed. 

I took Kinleigh from Lucas and he rode the horse back into the barn. As he took care of that I strapped her back into her stroller. When Lucas joined us we made our way back to the house and were happy to see Lucas Nanna and Pappy Joe were there. His Nanna was so happy to Kinleigh. We all had dinner and just hung out. Lucas asked his Nanna to watch Kinleigh and Kenzie for us tomorrow. I guess he wanted to spend some time with me so he was going to come over and babysit them for us while Lucas and I spent some time together. I was looking forward to it. This vacation was going to be so much fun.
