~ Pisces
'Come on, dear! You can do it, just don't look down' my mother shouted from the other side of a wobbly bridge that connected two cliffs. 'I-I can't! It'll break!' I yelled, tears streaming down my face. I don't know why, but I had to reach the other side, the safe side, where my mother was. 'Please, dear! I have to go soon!' she pleaded, a tear escaping the corner of her eye. 'No, no! Okay, okay, I'll try' Don't disappoint your mother, Pisces, just do it!
Determined, but scared to death, I set foot on the first step. The ropes and wood creaked, the bridge dangerously swinging back and forth because of the wind. I swallowed and took another step, another, until I got to the middle of the bridge, and a plank broke. With a yelp I clung onto the rope for dear life when my foot slipped through the bridge. 'PISCES!' my mom's voice had changed, into a higher pitch.I felt arms grab me and yank me upright, when I was sitting in my bed in the cabin. Cancer's eyes were widened with worry, she was still holding my arms. 'Pisces, did you have the dream again?' she asked me, for a second, I was too dazed to answer, but then I nodded. Cancer sighed and wiped my cheeks, Virgo, Taurus and Gemini were standing behind her, looking at me confused.
'What dream?' Gemini was the first to ask. My breath hitched in my throat, but Cancer saw that I didn't want to share it now, if ever. 'It's complicated. I'm sorry'
Gemini didn't look satisfied at all, but she dropped it.'Am I the only one to stay awake the rest of the night?' I asked, looking around. 'Sorry Pisces, but I'm tired as shit, so I'm going back to bed' Taurus apologized and climbed back up.
'I really want to be fit for tomorrow, I'm sorry!' Gemini told me, and also crawled back under her blankets, which left me, Cancer and Virgo. 'Guess it'll be the three of u- Wait... where the hell is Leo?' Cancer suddenly remarked. I looked around, surprised to indeed find Leo's bed empty. 'Oh, I hope she doesn't do anything stupid!' Virgo whispered.I felt Cancer's head lean onto ny shoulder when she fell asleep several times. 'Canc, if you're tired-' '-No, it's okay. I'm not that tired' she yawned. 'Seriously, we'll be fi-' '-I want to stay up and talk with you two!'
'Cancer, go to bed. You're tired, you need to sleep. Virgo will stay awake with me' I assured her, after hesitating for a bit, she sighed and went to bed.'Well, it's just us now. Until Leo gets back from wherever she is' Virgo stated. 'Guess so' 'You really don't want to talk about your dream?' she questioned, carefully observing my facial expression. 'N-no. I'm sorry, it's just-' '-That's okay. You don't have to apologize!' I bit my lip when the door creaked open, making me cling to Virgo in fear, until I recognized Leo.
'Leo! Oh my gosh you scared me so bad!' I breathed, while letting go of Virgo. 'Where were you?!' she questioned, but for some reason, Leo didn't know what to say. Did we catch her off-guard? 'I-err... wasn't in the mood to sleep so I just... walked for a bit' she eventually stammered. 'Oh really? On your own?' Virgo added, Leo quickly nodded. 'You sure?' I tried, but she nodded again. Although I didn't recall her wearing a sweater when we went to bed, I shrugged it off. Maybe she pulled it on when we were still sleeping.
'Well, we're glad you're back. You mind staying up with us?' Virgo asked, Leo smiled confidently again and she joined us on the bed.'So, here comes the inevitable question; which boy is the cutest?' Leo smirked and looked at us expectantly. I thought deeply. 'Honestly, I haven't really thought about it' I admitted, so we looked at Virgo. 'Well, I think Capricorn is kinda cute. He seems nice.'
Leo gasped. 'What? What is it?' I asked her, she shook her head. 'Err... Libra is kinda cute too, right? He seems like your type!' Leo nudged her. 'Leo, why are you suddenly acting weird?' I interrupted her. 'I don't know if I'm supposed to... well, I guess you two won't judge. Capricorn and I talked during the flight, and he told me... he's gay' I shrugged. 'Well, not that much of a shocker to me'
'Oh...' Virgo sighed. 'Well, I'm glad you told me'
'So, Pisces, who do you think is cutest?' Leo asked me.'Like I said, I haven't really-' '-come ooon, just pick one!' Leo whined. I sighed and went through all of the boys in my mind. 'I guess Libra is indeed very cute. Or Sagittarius' Wait... Shit. He is Leo's best friend. 'Wait! I-' '-Saggitarius? Well, I can't blame you. I've also been in love with him, after all' she admitted, clasping her hands in front of her mouth. 'What?' Virgo gasped 'when?' 'Well, it's kind of inevitable when you're boy-girl best friends, right? But we figured that we felt like we should have a relationship, since everyone kept telling us.'
'Oh, so he's off limits then?' I turned it into a question, but Leo shook her head. 'No, since it wasn't real love, I guess it doesn't count. And I would be glad for him to have a girlfriend!' she assured us.
'Look at that! The sun is rising!' Virgo pointed at the window, the sky was slowly getting brighter. 'Come on, let's watch sunrise!' I exclaimed, pulling on my hoodie and shoes.
We quietly exited the cabin and snuck into the woods, to the edge of the cliff, watching the sun light up the landscape, painting it shades of orange and yellow.'Wow, that's amazing' Virgo whispered, while admiring the spectacle. 'It is, but let's head back before the-' '-What are you doing! Get back here NOW!'
Too late. The counselors had already found us and firmly pulled us away from the edge. 'What were you thinking?! You could've fallen down there and what would we-' '-Calm down, we were just watching the sun rise. We're not kids, we know not to get too close to the edge!' Leo threw back at her. The happy-camper-counselor flinched, but flattened out her expression. 'Don't you do this again, or I will make sure to put you on the next flight home' she calmly told us, before turning around and marching back. 'Jeez, she really thinks she rules this place, doesn't she?' Leo scoffed, rolling her eyes. 'Well, she kinda does-' '-Shut up Virgo, you're ruining it' Leo jokingly cut Virgo off.
