Chasing the stars (TERMINATED)

14. Morning after

~ Leo

'Well holy...' Taurus groaned from the bed adjacent to mine. 'What?' I muttered, Taurus turned around, pulling at the collar of her shirt, revealing a dark blue hickey on her collarbone. I covered my mouth not to start laughing.

'Oh my god Taurus... what did you do?' I whispered, she shrugged, pulling her hand through her hair, until her gaze stopped at my neck.
Her eyes widened when she pointed, so I quickly grabbed my pocket mirror to examine, when I came across a purple spot right beneath my jaw.

'What in the world...' I digged through my memory, but nothing about a kiss in my neck came to mind. Stupid booze...
I took an Aspirin and tied my hair up, clawing at my forehead until the headache faded.
I traced the chain of my key-necklace, releasing a deep breath when I realized it was still there.
Trailing my finger along the pointy key, I thought of home.
No. Not now. Being homesick will only ruin my morning.

'Good morning!' Cancer chirped, stretching with a big smile on her face.
I was pretty sure everbody was either gawking or glaring at her high-lifted spirits this early in the morning.
'Cancer, how are you not-' '-oh, I don't do hangovers' she shrugged, smiling at Virgo and humming while exiting the cabin with her towel.

'I don't think she realizes how lucky she is...' Virgo groaned, when a counselor entered our cabin.
'All of you get up and gather at the picnic tables in five minutes!' he announced, a little too loud. 'Really, no need to shout' Gemini scowled.

'Oh man, do they really want to do this in the morning?' Pisces complained, pulling her blanket over her head. 'Guess we don't really have a choice' Taurus muttered, grabbing her jacket and exiting the cabin together with Gemini.

I dug through my bag to retrieve my sweater, when I came across a sweater I didn't recognize.
It was black, and a whiff of cologne lingered at the collar, when I face-palmed.
It was Aries'.

I still didn't return it to him? Oh god, how embarrassing! Now I'll look like a creepy stalker! I know, maybe when everyone is at the tables I'll sneak behind the cabins and put it back without anyone noticing.

I pulled my own sweater over my head and waited for everyone to leave, until Cancer entered the cabin again. 'Jacket, jacket, jacket...' she mused while searching through her bag. She found it, but just as she was about to leave, she turned to me.

'Oh, hi Leo. Aren't you coming?' she asked, I shrugged. 'I'll be there in a few. They can't make me be there on time'
She nodded thoughtfully, although her face gave away that she knew there was more behind it.

I deeply sighed and climbed down, hiding the black sweater underneath my own. Everybody seemed busy with breakfast, so I took the opportunity and ran inside the boys' cabin. A stale smell hung around the room when I trailed my eyes along the beds, until I saw Aries' sneakers. I threw the sweater on his bed, a groan startling me.

The sleeping bag started moving, so I darted out of the cabin, trying to look as calm and collected as possible. I took a seat next to Capricorn, and I knew he could tell something was off. 'Buenos días guapa. What got you so spooked?' he wondered, I was about to tell him, until I realized he also liked Aries, and we had pinky-promised not to let him get between us.
But I couldn't have known the guy would be out in the woods in the middle of the night!

That's when Aries joined the group,  he pulled his hand through his hair when his eyes fell on me. He smirked and winked, when he sat next to Scorpio, who had fallen asleep with his head on the table.

'Woah, woah. Am I delusional or did Aries just wink and smile at you?' he questioned, I face-palmed. This was going in the wrong direction. 'Cap, honestly, I have no idea why he-' '-Oh my god! Is that a hickey?!' He nearly shouted.

'Capricorn listen, I-' '-no, I get it. You broke our promise and made out with the guy. Well good luck you two, but I'm not going to-' '-listen to me! I swear we didn't-' '-You listen to me for this one time!' We bickered, a few heads turned our way.

'I won't let people walk all over me again, this is where I put my foot down. So go sit somewhere else, because I'm not even willing to move places for you!' he snapped. Anger started boiling inside me when I stood up and looked for an empty spot, when I saw one. Next to Aries, perfect. If he wants to jump to conclusions, I'll let him!

I briskly paced to the other side of the table and sat down between Aries and Scorpio. Aries slung an arm around me, I leaned into him. 'Hey, what's between you and Cap?' he questioned. 'Oh it's nothing. He's just being a little grumpy' I shrugged, when he grabbed my chin and turned my head sideways. 'Oh jeez, I'm sorry' he chuckled, stroking the hickey.

'Wait, you... you did that?!' I questioned in disbelief, he bit his lip and nodded, triggering a memory.

He bit his lip and nodded, still pinning me against the wall. 'God, you smell amazing, Leo' he breathed, trailing wet kisses along my neck, stopping to suck at my sweet spot. I whimpered, throwing my arms around his broad shoulders, when our lips met in the middle.

'You don't remember, do you?' he sighed, but I shook my head. 'No no, I do! It's just, err... I don't think we should rush things' I shook his arm off me, he arched an eyebrow.
'What do you mean? We kissed, so I thought...' I never expected to see Aries embarrassed, yet here I was, watching him fiddle with the strings of his sweater.

'I'm sorry, Aries, but we were drunk! I didn't think you'd even remember!' I groaned. This was such a mess, upsetting two people, and we hadn't even reached noon yet!
I tried waking Scorpio up to make him trade places, but something told me it would be better to leave him alone.
Cancer was next to him, so I switched with her. She was still looking at me with her sea-green eyes, assuring me that she knew something wasn't right, but the instant Scorpio lifted his head, her expression changed.

I sighed in relief, when I caught a pair of sky blue eyes looking my way as well. Gemini knew she was onto something, so I prepared myself to be grilled as soon as we left this table.
