Tw: self harm references

Dan lies in his sisters bed. Her head is cuddled into his chest and his arm is wrapped around her like the night before. She sleeps soundly as her brother is wide awake and staring at the ceiling in deep thought.

His heart has never beeped because of someone. Never. It only beeps when he's scared, panicking, exercising, or it's rebooting day. But this Phil Lester, oh boy that Phil Lester. He was something different.

He always had three warning beeps to calm himself down before he needed to reboot, and thank goodness for that. Now that he was tutoring Phil, the three beeps would let him know when to calm down and when he was good to go. Although Phil would get suspicious, Dan knew he would, he just hopped he could keep lying to Phil until he believed him. However, on top of the beeping heart there was also the bet. Out of the two that was going to be the undoing of Dan. Becoming best friends or more by the end of the year. What was Dan even getting out if it? Nothing, just a beeping heart that would surely cause some problems.

He lets our a soft sigh before tapping over his heart twice. "Goodnight."

"Bye mum I'll see you later!" Dan kisses his mother's cheek before slinging his backpack over his shoulder.

"Bye Daniel, love you!" Dan skips to the door before his mum stops him again. "Is Phil coming over today?" She asks, a hopeful gleam in her eyes.

"Yes he is, is that okay?" Dan asks.

"Of course! I'm so glad you're making friends again Dan." His mother smiles at him and kisses his forehead.

"Whatever, I'll see you later." Dan smiles at his mother before bounding out the door into the crisp air. The brunette descends down the pavement, his feet softly padding against the solid cement under his feet and his sweatshirt hugging his body to keep him warm.

The walk to his bus stop is short and the wait for the bus is even shorter. Dan gets onto the bus and sits in his seat next to Pj who had sat down shortly before Dan, meaning he got the window seat. That frustrated Dan but he didn't want to start a petty argument this early in the morning. So he gets out his phone and plays a simple game to distract him from his curly haired friends who has also on his phone and was smiling down at it as he typed a reply to whomever he was texting.

The bus soon arrives in from of the school and let all the kids off it. Surprisingly, Pj didn't try to talk to him the whole ride. Not like he cared, the less people who talk to him the better.

Dan followed the line of people out the bus before entering the building and making his way to his locker to get his stuff for his first class, he didn't have it with anyone that would try and bother him which made Dan think the day was going pretty smoothly, no interruptions and no talking, Dan could get used to a life like this. All the solitude made him happy, interacting with other people didn't make him happy.

He walked to his class with his binders hugged tightly against his body, glaring anyone down who gave him a dirty look or saying a secret they didn't want to be known when they insulted him. It was the daily routine, and a routine he rather enjoyed.

Dan walks into his classroom and takes his seat in the back of the class, he puts his binder and pencil on the desk. Class doesn't start for another five minutes and not even half the kids were there, so Dan zones out as he stares at the white board. More kids pile into the classroom and one of the teens walks right up to Dan and slams his hand on his desk.

Dan doesn't even flinch at the hand and looks up to see which body it was connected to. However the person wasn't who he would've excepted. "Phil? What are you-" Phil tilts Dan's chins up and kisses right under his lips before bounding away.
