Gyselvia threw open the door to the studio room.
"Oh, hello there." Odira chuckled. "You're the one who warned these guys about me. The one who tried to stop me. Well, pretty birdie, you're too late."
Odira's words seemed to cut into Gyselvia. She thinks she failed us, Dani thought, It's not your fault, Gyselvia.
Odira pulled a knife out of nowhere. "I could kill you all instantly, but where's the fun in that?"
Everyone tried to dissolve into the walls.
"You call us humans selfish and then think it's fun to kill people," Barry spat, "You're a disgusting hypocrite."
"I never said I wasn't selfish, Barry," Odira replied.
"Don't be afraid, guys. The other side is actually quite fun. Well, other than the torture and the fact that not all of you are going to heaven."
He turned and lunged for Gyselvia.
The knife cut into Gyselvia's stomach. She choked as she fought against Odira, trying to push him away as her blood soaked through her hoodie.
She managed to push him away and get the blade out of her stomach, but she quickly fell to her hands and knees, coughing up blood. Odira raised the knife and was about to stab it into Gyselvia's spine when he was suddenly tackled by Barry.
"Don't you dare, you son of a bitch."
"Aww, how cute. You think you can hold me down. Just because you're bigger than Brad doesn't mean I can't throw you across the room just like him." Odira laughed and slashed the knife at Barry's neck. He blocked it with his hand, which began to pour blood.
"Nice reflexes," Odira complimented before taking another swing. This time, the knife was blocked by the rest of the band seeming to finally become unfrozen from fear. They all held Odira down and then dragged him to a chair near the guitars. The knife was pulled out of his hands and held to Odira's neck by Neil as Dani unplugged some amps to use the cords as ropes.
Gyselvia was still conscious, but barely. Brad and Barry rushed over to help her as Odira was tied down. She had her hoodie in a ball, pressed to her stomach.
"That's not going to hold him," she coughed, "You need a devil's trap."
"I know how to draw one. We'll need paint," Barry whispered.
"How do you know how to make a devil's trap?" Brad asked.
"I'll explain later. I'll go get some paint, I saw some in another room that the owners of this studio are renovating." Barry ran out of the room.
Brad took off his own jacket to help stop Gyselvia's bleeding. Neil and Dani were struggling to keep Odira down. It appeared as though the only thing keeping him from ripping the cords to shreds was the threat of the knife held to his neck.
But they all knew Neil would never be able to bring himself to use it.
......
Barry ran through the studio's halls, before he came to an unfinished room. He grabbed an open can of paint and a brush before he ran back to the band's room.
"Push him closer to the centre of the room," Barry told Dani and Neil.
When there was enough space to paint the devil's trap, Barry rushed to work. Odira laughed nervously. "You're all smarter than I thought."
"Why thank you," Barry replied as he continued painting on the wooden floor.
When the trap was complete, Neil and Dani stepped away from Odira, who could no longer move.
