"What the fuck?!" Neil kicked over the chair that Odira had been tied to. "How did he get out? Who else was here?!"
"If the trap is broken he can move again, and we both know who freed him, Neil," Barry explained.
"Okay, yes, I know, it was James. But how did he know we were here? And what we had done?" Neil asked.
"He somehow got Matt to take a pill which made him become possessed by a fucking demon. Him knowing about what's going on should be no surprise." Barry picked up the cords they had used to restrain Odira and put them away before moving the chair back to it's original spot in the right corner of the room.
"You seem rather calm given what's going on."
"We'll find him, okay? Everything's going to be fine." Barry walked over and wrapped his arms around Neil.
"I'm getting tired of people saying that. No one can guarantee it'll be okay," Neil replied, but joined the hug anyways.
"Alright, that's true, but I still swear on my life that it will," Barry said and placed his hand to his chest in an oath gesture, but it looked kind of silly with the blood soaked toilet paper wrapped around his hand.
"If it doesn't turn out fine it really will be our lives," Neil muttered.
......
"We're seriously going to mess with magic?" Brad asked.
"Yes, because we don't really have any other options. Besides, I used magic to save you guys at the last Incident, why is this different?" Dani replied.
"Okay, okay, go ahead." Brad took his hand off of the book.
Dani began to recite the latin words off the page the best he could. "cicatricem illam aperit , sic salvabo parcetur."
Gyselvia's eyes opened slowly. "What- What happened?" she asked as she sat up on the brown cushions of the couch.
"Uh. Odira stabbed you. So we brought you here for healing spells. And. Umm. Yeah," Brad explained poorly.
The explanation seemed to be enough for Gyselvia, however. "You better put that book back exactly where it was or Habri will freak."
"There's like no order to this though! I'd expect some sort of organization in a book store," Dani said as he walked back to where he had found the book.
"It is organized. By the titles as they would be in his native language," Gyselvia replied.
"Oh. Oops." Dani popped the book back on the shelf.
"We should get back to the studio and see how Barry and Neil are doing with Odira," Brad said.
......
"He escaped. He fucking escaped. Are you two serious?" Brad freaked when they saw the mess off the devil's trap and that Odira was gone.
"We were in another room, and it was so quiet! We had no idea he was gone until we walked in!" Neil retorted, "Don't fucking blame us! We weren't going to discuss our plans in front of him!"
"Why would it matter?! He couldn't have moved anyways!" Brad yelled.
"You know what, Walst, you're really-" Neil was cut off by Barry. "Alright, chill. It's no one's fault except fucking James."
Both Brad and Neil took a deep breath and appeared to calm down.
"Alright. Now what are we going to do to find him?" Dani asked.
......
A/N: I'm really beginning to like this story a lot more than the original book
I just feel like it's more descriptive and I'm being more creative with this one
