Hitomi followed along after the man who interrogated him. Apparently his name was Ibiki and he was a bit of an 'uptight asshole'. The last part Hitomi had figured out on her own.
"Ibiki-san? Who is the Hokage, un?" She asked, curiously.
Of course she already knew but she was kept in 'captivity' under criminals for so long that she had 'forgotten' about the outside world. An easy way to ask many evasive questions without being thought of as suspicious.
Ibiki glanced back at the girl as she had called him "san". No smart ass comment from her, Hitomi might have warmed up.
"The Hokage is the leader of the village." He answered.
The girl seemed unimpressed. "Well no shit, Ibiki-san. I can tell that,un." She said.
Ibiki frowned, there it was.
'What was I expecting? Polite and nice little girl all the time?' Ibiki thought sourly.
Of course, Hitomi didn't trust him enough to be nice or serious with him.
Ibiki closed his eyes annoyed but didn't answer; so they continued on their walk towards the Hokage's office. When they had made it to their destination, Ibiki knocked on the door and walked in. Hitomi following behind him, her hands shoved into her pocket.
"Lord Hokage, I have brought the hostage from Kakashi and Anko's mission." He said.
Hitomi peaked around Ibiki to look at an old man with a white robe and a hat. He certainly didn't look like much at all to Hitomi but she could feel how strong his chakra reserves were. Still she scrunched up her nose.
"Eh? It's just a silly old man, un!" She said.
Ibiki lifted up a fist and punched the top of her head. "Ow!" Hitomi yelled and held her head, glaring at the scarred man.
"He is your elder and the Hokage, respect him." He ordered with an irritated eye twitch.
In response Hitomi only stuck out her tongue at him. The old man who Ibiki called the "Hokage" laughed at the interaction between the two. It was obvious how much this little girl got on the Head of Torture and Interrogation; it was probably good for the man though. Considering how serious and dark he could be.
"Ibiki. It's alright, she's fine to say whatever." The Hokage said with a smile.
Both Hitomi and Ibiki looked at the old man, surprised, but later Hitomi smirked and punched Ibiki. Quite hard actually as it made the interrogator take a few steps to the side.
"Ha sucker! I win." She said with a triumphant smile and crossed her arms proudly.
Ibiki glared at her but did nothing, thinking about the strength the small girl just showed. The Hokage looked to the girl, "So what's your name, little one?"
Hitomi looked to him and stood normally again, facing the Hokage. "Hitomi, un." She answered.
Ibiki crossed his arms, "Sure miss 'woman of the west'." He muttered. Normally Ibiki wouldn't waste his time with such childish banter but something about this girl got under his skin.
Hitomi gave a small smirk, "Still sour, Ibiki-san? I didn't expect you of all people to childishly argue with a child such as myself, un." She said the smirk on her face becoming wider.
Ibiki glared, "Why you little brat-" Ibiki started but the Hokage immediately put a stop to it.
"Both of you stop. Now's not the time to carry on fighting." He said with a deadpan tone.
