When it Rains Red 2018-2019 (REWRITING)

Chapter 6

"I-I work for Orichimaru!!" The blonde man screamed, tears streaming down his face.

   Hitomi scrunched up her nose-- like she had a disgusting taste in her mouth-- and dropped Arata Ishikawa's head onto the metal table. "Tch. Pathetic, un." She muttered and left the Interrogation room, leaving the spy in their for someone else to get.

    As she filled out the rest of her paperwork, one thought bothered her. What was Orichimaru up to and what dis he want? She remembered him when he was in the Akatsuki but she didn't know that much about him. Deidara wasn't to keen on letting the creepy snake watch over his daughter so he kept Hitomi away from him.

      Though in the past few years there had been three spy's and two traitors who all admitted to working with Orichimaru. He was definitely after something Konoha and she was determined to figure out what, but it would have to wait. It was already one a.m. and she had to wake up early for training and to work with Ibiki; it was also tomorrow that she had figure out and meet her new genin team. Hitomi sighed and turned in the paper work before leaving the house. As she was walking back she was suddenly stopped by Jounin Ninja she knew.

   "Hachiro-san, what is it, un?" She asked with tired eyes.

"Sorry to bother you but the Hokage will want you with us." Hachiro said and lead her to outside the Hokage summit.

    Once she arrived she noticed the serious atmosphere, what was going on? The Hokage sent off four other ninja then turned to Hachiro and Hitomi as they approached "Hitomi. Hachiro. We have a serious matter on our hands," He said, "Naruto Uzumaki has stolen the forbidden scroll and ran off with it. You must find him at all costs, if that scroll gets in the wrongs hands I'm afraid it'll possibly lead to Konoha's destruction."

Hachiro gritted his teeth, "Traitorous brat." He muttered then bowed to Hokage, "We will find him Lord Hokage." Then Hachiro jumped off to search.

    Hitomi narrowed her eyes. Naruto Uzumaki, where has she heard that name before... Think. Think. Oh that's right, it was the loud blonde idiot who liked to pull pranks in Hitomi's class. He was often in trouble and some of the other students in Hitomi's class would sort of bully him, but he always shook their words off and spouted on about being the Hokage. She put a hand to her chin. Something weird was going on...

    Why would the blonde idiot go and steal the forbidden scroll if he wanted to become the Hokage so bad? An act such as this would halt all pathways to becoming even a ninja, much less a Hokage. Did he give up and go rogue? No, Hitomi didn't know the kid at all but from what little she has seen during class his resolve was pretty strong so there was no way he'd give up. Then again, she didn't know him so maybe something snapped.

   But the circumstances didn't match and she could feel something was wrong. She had a feeling someone coaxed this kid into the stealing the forbidden scroll. She had to admit, the blondie had to be skillful to get past the security measures around the scroll but she also knew he wasn't that bright as his scores were the lowest in the class. Hitomi's brain worked in over time trying to find the one solution that made sense.

    For the past five minutes the Hokage watched Hitomi, he knew she was thinking hard by the way she held her chin and how her eyes narrowed in thought. Hopefully she'd figure this out before someone found Naruto. After a moment the Hokage spoke up, "What is it Hitomi?"

The girl looked up, her eyes still narrowed with thought. "I may be wrong, but I think Naruto Uzumaki was tricked into stealing the scroll, un. I don't know him but he doesn't seem like the kind of person to suddenly just steal something like that, especially when all he carries on about is becoming a Hokage, un." She answered thoughtfully.
