Ashton's POV:

I smiled at Brayden as she opened the door to me. Oh My God. She looked stunning. Not that she didn't before but- wow.

"You look beautiful," I said eyeing her up and down.

"Really?" she asked blushing.

How could she not realize how perfect she is?

"Absolutely," I smiled.

"Thanks. You look great too," she replied nervously.

"Right?" I asked jokingly as I spun around. She giggled. "So are you all ready to go?" I asked.

"Yep, let me just get my purse," she said as she scurried off to fetch it.

She was so cute. She kind of stumbled as she was coming back.

"You alright?" I asked giggling at her clumsiness.

"Yeah, thanks- again," she said, a red color flushing her cheeks.

"I feel like we've been through this before," as said receiving a laugh out of her.

"Yes, I believe so," she replied in a smarty way.

"Ok well let's get going."

Brayden's POV:

When we finally reached the restaurant, Ashton quickly hopped out of his car and came to help me out. He grabbed my hand and continued to hold my hand as we walked to the door. We were at some sort of Italian restaurant. He opened the door for me and held out his hand gesturing for me to go in first.

"Thank you," I said in a very lady-like manner.

We reached the reception desk and the man began to speak.

"Welcome to Linguini's. How may I help you?"

"Yes, reservation for two," Ashton spoke up.

"Last name?" the man behind the counter asked.

"Irwin."

"Ah, yes, here it is. Right this way to your table."

The man led us to a candlelit table out on the patio. It was beautiful. There were some bushes on the edge with lights in them. It looked magical. The man pulled my chair out for me as I reached the table.

"Here you are, Mam.

"Thank you," I replied smiling.

The man walked away as another reached the table.

"Hello my name is Angelo and I will be your waiter tonight. Here are your menus. I'll be back in just a moment to take your order."

He handed us the menus and walked away. I began searching through the menu.

"So, how do you like it? Pretty nice huh?" Ashton asked.

"I love it. It's all too much. Getting reservations here must have cost you a fortune!"

"Oh, it's no big deal. I'm just glad you like it," he said showing his dimples.

God those dimples got me every time. I blushed. The waiter began walking back towards our table.

"Ready to order?" the waiter asked us.

"Yes, I'll have the Parmesan Pasta please."

"Okay and for the lady?"

"Um, I would like the lasagna with a side of salad."

"Ok your dishes will be ready soon."

"Thank you," Ashton and I replied at the same time.

We talked some more for about thirty minutes or so and then we received our food. Ashton and I both said our thank you's and dug in. It was so good. We didn't talk at all while we were eating. After about ten minutes we were both done.

"Well I'm stuffed," I said as I rubbed my stomach. It was kind if poking out now.

"Me too," Ashton said giggling. "I say let's call it a night."

"Yeah."

We took the drive home slow. We started talking some more about ourselves and I began to feel our relationship grow stronger.

"How did I end up on a date with you?" Ashton asked me smiling.

"I don't know I was kind of wondering the same thing," I said now feeling kind if sad.

"What's wrong," he asked me as he noticed my facial expression change.

"Thanks for doing this Ashton."

"What?"

"Pretending to care about me. I know you're probably just trying to make a lonely girl feel happy for a while," I said, my voice trembling a little.

"You think I'm pretending? Brayden, I really like you- a lot. You're funny, nice, and beyond gorgeous," he said very seriously.

"It's just that- no one has cared for me much since-" I cut myself off, trying to prevent myself from crying.

"Since what?" he asked.

"Nothing. I really appreciate this Ashton."

"Brayden, you're perfect. Don't let anyone tell you different."

He was now looking straight into my eyes glancing back at the road every now and then. He took his eyes off the road and leaned towards me. He was going to kiss me. Just as he was about to reach my lips, I heard the unmistakeable sound of a car horn blaring and I saw lights getting closer.

"Ashton!" I screamed loudly as he slammed on the brakes and swerved into a ditch. But it was too late. And that's when I blacked out.
