tyler was cuddled against josh's chest as they watched the stars in the garden that tyler was starting to fill with flowers

and josh absolutely loved it

while he was gone for practice and some management in the army he knew tyler would entertain himself in the garden, which meant going home to a new beautiful garden

"the flowers are pretty but not as pretty as you" tyler remembers josh said this the past day when some flowers began to bloom

he remembers smiling widely because no one ever told him that

no one had told him how beautiful he really was

josh was glad he came along because now he could make the boy happy, he could make him feel better, he could protect and claim him as his and only his

as they still cuddled in the winter grass that was almost moist because of the snow that was there before the night

"tyler, i love you "

"josh?" tyler raised an eyebrow at the older general who smiled down at him

"yes, love?"

"i love you" tyler said as he placed his hands on josh's cold cheeks very carefully kissing him with so much worry that he could destroy the full pink lips

josh kissed back immediately as he placed tyler in his lap wrapping his arms around the small waist

they continued to kiss but stopped as they heard the knock on the front door

tyler lifted himself from josh's lap an began walking towards the door leaving josh to play with the flowers near him

"hello!" josh heard tyler giggle, a laugh full of sunshine and love

"honey, brendon and dallon are here" josh's heart fluttered at the nickname never used before and was smiling uncontrollably when the three friends reached the backyard

dallon had his hand laced with brendon's as they entered the garden , tyler however was following close behind with a few glasses and a jar filled with lemonade

josh smiled at the domestic moment where tyler was wearing an apron while he came outside with the second round of a plate filled with cookies

brendon rejoiced at the sight of tyler's infamous cookies

dallon and josh chatted about whatever was going on in the army and how they had to plan the maybe soon invasion of the usa troops in european countries

while in a complete bliss tyler and brendon chatted about common housewives things, like who had gotten pregnant the last week

this was there life now and honestly none of them were complaining because if it meant spending this life with the other everything was going to be just fine

it was funny the roles they had taken , tyler was a stay home 'wife' while all of his best friends had to go to the battle field

he wouldn't complain though, he had josh which was the nicest boyfriend he could ever ask for

the way he took care of tyler got the younger boy all smitten and the way he protected tyler because he was his and nobody else's , all of those things about josh were the perfect formula for the result to be tyer's happiness and really that was all josh desired

if it was another individual he would have worried, worried about the fact that this relationship was illegal and that they could get thrown into jail or that he would be seen as a shame or an abomination

really he should worry but the thought of tyler being the one he loved and the one had committed a crime for calmed him at made him feel at ease

he couldn't care less about society and he couldn't care less about the law as he saw his boy giggling at one of his obscene jokes

he couldn't care about the fact that he would be seen as an abomination when he saw his boy all flustered

and yet after everything he should be worried about he couldn't bring himself to it as his boy told him that he loved him
