Noelle Watson watched in exasperation as her husband swung their four year old daughter around the living room. Everyone would be at their home in five minutes!
Rayne laughed at her father's affectionate actions causing Noelle to smile at the two. Ever since the birth of their daughter, those two had been attached hip to hip.
It made Noelle see what good she actually did with her life. She had always dreaded being like her father and it scared her to think that she'd mess up in her beloved daughters life.
It was their daughters fourth birthday today and just like ever birthday of her daughters, it made Noelle think back to the time when little Rayne Ashlyn Watson came into the world.

"I swear to fucking god I'll chop off your dick the next time you want sex!" Noelle screamed in pain as another contraction took over.
Alex winced as his girlfriend crushed his hand with so much strength it terrified him. This woman was most likely completely capable of doing some damage to him, no doubt.
"I hate you!" She exclaimed as she threw her head back with a groan.
"I love you too, Noelle. You doing good, honey." He said, making her give him a sharp glare.
"Says the ass not giving birth at the moment!" She snapped, causing him to wince as she let out another scream of pain.
"Your doing wonderful, Noelle! One last push for us! Come on!" At that moment Noelle looked at the nurse as if she could strangle her, but she did as asked.
Suddenly, a piercing scream sounded throughout the room and Noelle fell back with a loud sigh if relief.
"Its a girl!" The doctor announced and the new parents both laughed, smiles brightening their faces.
"Its a girl," Alex repeated with a laugh, kissing her forehead, happiness shining on his face visibly.
Noelle smiled through tears as they put the pink bundle in her arms. She looked up at Alex.
"We did it," She whispered.
"We did," He agreed, a small smile on his face as he looked down at the woman he loved and his newborn daughter.

Present"Alex, Rayne," Noelle said and they both looked over at her with matching electric blue eyes.
Alex ran a hand through his already disheveled light brown hair and smiled up at his wife sheepishly.
"Mommy!" Rayne giggled and jumped into her mothers arms as Alex straightened out his shirt.
"Rayne, you should've been ready an hour ago, child." Noelle fake scolded her daughter.
Rayne pouted. "Its daddy's fault, he's the one that started tickling me." She stated making Alex let out an exaggerated gasp, hand on chest.
"I would never!" He exclaimed and Rayne rolled her eyes making Noelle laugh at their banter.
She ran a hand through her daughters golden locks that Rayne had inherited from her. "We'll, mommy will have a talk with mean old daddy, how 'bout that?" She asked.
Rayne beamed. "Okay,"
Noelle laughed while Alex gave Rayne a glare.
"Go get dressed, crazy." He said and Noelle sat her down. She stuck her tongue out at her father.
"Meany," she giggled before running up the stairs.
Alex frowned at Noelle. "Why do I always get thrown under the bus?" He sighed and she smiled up at him.
"Because its easy to do?" She offered with a teasing glint in her eyes.
Alex rolled his eyes and pulled his wife to him, holding her by the waist. "She's going to be a little heart breaker when she gets older, you know." He sighed, talking about their independent daughter, and Noelle gave him a loving smile.
"That will be in years to come, Alex. Don't worry about shooting boys just yet." Noelle teased and Alex snorted.
"Years to come? Whatever! She already puts me down and I'm her father!" He exclaimed and Noelle laughed.
"Mommy! Daddy! Look what I found!" Both of their attention focused on their daughter as she ran down the stairs with her little legs, holding a small box that both instantly recognized.
"Honey, where'd you find that?" Noele asked.
Alex looked at his wife. "I thought you put that up in your mothers attic."
Noelle grimaced. Mother. "I did." She sighed.
"It was under my bed!" Rayne said brightly as Alex took the box in his hand.
"What are they?" She asked curiously to her parents who both looked at the box in recognization.
"These," He said. "Are our letters."
Rayne gave him a confused look. "Why are they in my room, daddy?"
Both of her parents frowned. "I don't know, but I have a feeling its all because of Nana." Noelle said and Rayne's eyes lit up.
"Can we read them?!" She asked excitedly.
Noelle laughed, taking the box from Alex, sitting it on top of their living room bookcase. "Maybe when you get older, okay?" She said softly and Rayne frowned for a moment before smiling and nodding her little head.
"Okay!" She said cheerfully and her parents smiled just as the doorbell rang.
Alex and Noelle shared a look, seeing that their daughter still wasn't dressed properly. "I've got it," Noelle sighed and Alex gave her a quick kiss before going down the hall to the front door while Noelle and Rayne made their way up the stairs to Rayne's room.
"Mommy, what are the letters about?" Rayne asked quietly once they made it to the room.
Noelle smiled at her daughter lovingly. "Let's just say that it something of a fairytale." She replied and Rayne once again frowned.
"Then why can't I read them?" She asked.
Noelle laughed lightly. "Firstly, because you can't read, darling. And secondly, because it takes time to understand. But I promise you, Rayne, one day. When you understand and go through your own fairytale, you can read them." She promised and her daughter smiled up at her.
"Okay, mommy." She replied and Noelle felt her eyes water as she hugged the child.
And to think that this had all started with a letter to Somebody she used to love. And always would love. No matter what.
He gave her a family. Hope. Loyalty. And love. Something she never thought she'd have.
