There was no funeral.
Zale was left to rot where he was slain, like all other creatures that were killed in the Corruption.
All the Corruption creatures and Warriors returned to their normal, everyday lives.
Except for one.
The sole Elite that was heavily affected by the death of his only friend...
Wither.
Wither had nobody to look up to anymore. Nobody to hang out with. Nobody to be by his side...
He had been depressed for days since the death of Zale, and there were no signs of it ever ending.
Some of the other Elites tried to cheer him up, to no avail.
Even the Eater of Worlds tried to break at least a smile through with a miserably failed juggling act, but Wither was just far too depressed.
He sat in his room, alone. Staring down at the table in front of him, he could only think of one thing at this point. Well, two things, if Zale's death were to be counted.
He had to avenge his closest friend.
However, there was one problem with that. Wither had never been outside of the Corruption. The Eater of Worlds demanded that he stayed for a bit, to allow everything to settle down. This meant Wither couldn't really go anywhere. Even before, Wither never bothered to leave the Corruption, worried that Zale would be killed while he was gone.
He didn't have to worry about that anymore.
Thinking about the subject saddened Wither even more, to the point where he ended up being the first Elite to ever refuse an optional meeting.
Wither even refused the mandatory meetings, preferring the loneliness over being lectured about performance and economics.
Someone knocked on his door.
Surprised, Wither quickly drew his Night's Edge, and slowly approached the door.
"Open up! I wanna talk to you," a voice from outside shouted.
Wither didn't recognize the voice, which only made him more nervous.
He slowly unlocked the door, which slammed open, allowing Wither's archenemy inside; a being on the Hallow, with good and magic-ness flowing through his veins:
Spectra.
