Wither woke up a few hours later, and stayed in his bed, not wanting to be awake.
He had smelled burnt fish and mushrooms for the past few hours, and had no idea where it was coming from. Either way, it was making him hungry.
His throat was still hurting from yesterday, even though there was no injury there. He wasn't sure why - maybe the pain is permanent? Maybe he's imagining things?
Either way, it was bothering him, and he had to figure out a way to get rid of it.

Zale was back to his cooking, trying to perfect his fish and mushrooms meal. After about three hours (and a whole lotta meals burned), he was still unsuccessful. This saddened him a little, but he kept trying.
At one point, the flames got so bad that they nearly caught the room on fire, forcing Zale to use an Aqua Scepter that he had found in the Dungeon to put it out.
As the next batch was cooking, he decided to check on Wither again. He peeked his head in, seeing the same thing he saw before, with one difference - he was awake. Wither was staring at the ceiling, seemingly thinking about something.
Zale quietly closed the door, and returned to the kitchen.
He pulled the fish out of the furnace, to see that it was actually perfectly done. He was excited - he was finally able to cook something! He brought one of the two perfect meals into the room where Wither was, and gave him his breakfast.

A few hours later, Zale looked out the front window, seeing Wither outside. Night was still in the house, trying to figure out what to do with all of the burnt meals.
As he watched, Wither knelt down, head down. From the way he did it, he appeared to be praying to the Corruption. Ever since the Corruption's destruction, Wither had been doing this almost daily. Every time Night asked him why he did it, he said only one thing: to keep the spirit of the great warrior Night (different Night than her - she was named after the great warrior) from dying off.
Wither stayed there for a good hour, then stood back up, and walked back inside, staring at the ground as he walked.
He sat down on the bed, sighing. Zale stared at him for a minute, before deciding to head off to help Night.
When he walked into the kitchen, all of the meals were already taken care of, and Night was nowhere in sight.
He walked back out to where Wither was, only to see something he never could've imagined seeing:
Night was kissing Wither.
This actually didn't bother Zale at all - he was kinda hoping this would happen, but he never thought it would happen - when the two first met, Night and Wither had been friends. But he never could see them - or even think of them - being in a relationship.
The only thing he was curious about is how Night got there without him noticing - there was only one way to reach that room from inside, and there were no other doors besides the front door.
Zale went to walk away, when he noticed something on the wall - it was ancient writing, and Zale could read the language it was in.

Upon the dawn, the balance shalt turn,
The Darkness, the Hallowed, one shalt prosper.
Darkness, dissipating into Hallowed,
Those who defy the light shalt suffer.

It was the first part of the Legend of Yin and Yang. Zale knew then what he had to do:
Find the rest of the legend, and figure out what the Prophecy meant. He knew the story was a - no, the Prophecy, but he needed to figure  out more about it.
And something told him that Wither was involved.
