Chris's POV

I heard that Courtney and Monique were in a fight, but I didn't get to see it. That's weird, because every fight in school I always see it. Oh well, I guess I'll find out from my sources. Now, it's 8th period. Everyone still souped about the fight though. Man, I wish I hadn't missed it. I guess it was that good.

After School

Monique's POV

Oh my God. I can't believe it. After all I said to this motherfucking bitch, everything we've been through, now she has the nerve to start shit. And you know good and well I'm bringing my mom to school on Monday. She had no right to start a fight. I don't care if I'm called a pussy or some other type of shit, but still.

Courtney's POV

Well, after that crazy situation, everyone was praising me just on one fight. I didn't know it would be this epic though. I just fought the bitch because she thought she could do shit to me, but like I said, imma put a bitch in her place. Never thought that one relationship could turn into such a mess.

I'm walking to lunch, and before you know it, I bump into Chris.

"Hey ma. Haven't seen you in a while. What's good?"

I know, talking to him is bad, but what you expect me to do, walk away from him? He bumped into me.

"Not much. How bout you?"

"I'm good. Can we hang out after school at the park?"

"What do you want?"

"What do you mean by what do I want? I just want to hang out. It's been a while."

Chris's POV

Saying that to her made my heart race. I hope she didn't take it the wrong way. I just want to see how she is, and hopefully get info on the fight. That is crazy to fight your best friend, unless you have a good reason to do so.

"Alright", she said. Meet me at the swings.

"Ok."

After that, I headed on to my 9th period class. Never before in my life have I been so happy for no apparent reason. I couldn't wait for the day to be over so I could go to the park. Seeing her made my heart go 1,000 miles per second. The way we talk made me think, should we go out? Would that be bad? I didn't even care. All I wanted was for her to be mine. And once she was, I would make her my everything. I know I'm over here sounding like a girl, but she is so beautiful.

When I bumped into my best buddy, Nyreek, he said,

"You ok, boy? You over here looking like you in space or somethin'. You fell in love again or some type of shit? Nyreek asked.

"Yeah, man. You don't even know what she is to me. If we went out though, I would be complete."

"Nigga, you say that about every girl you met that's cute. I bet you you don't even know her like that."

"Yes I do. We talked a couple times, and we gonna meet at the park after school."

"Well, ok then. But if she ain't right for you, you know imma be there no matter what."

"Yeah, yeah whatever man. See you later. How bout I go to your house when I'm done at the park?"

"Ok. You know they still actin' a little crazy after the trip right?"

"Right. Bye."

Nyreek's parents were away at his aunt's house still recovering that Nyreek's older brother died in a shootout last week. Nyreek couldn't believe it either, but he got over it. But he doesn't like to talk about family a lot.

Courtney's POV

Finally, school's over. Now I have to go to the park. But before I do, I have to call my mom.

"Hey Mom."

"Hi sweetheart. How was your day?"

It was good. Mom. Can I go to the park for about 15 minuntes?"

"Sure. But make sure you're home before 4:30."

"Ok. Bye Mom."

"Bye honey."

By the time I was done with the call, I saw Chris walking towards my car.

"Hey Courtney. You going to the park?"

"Yeah. You want a ride?"

"Sure."

During the ride, I was nervous. I don't know why, but I was really nervous. I didn't know what to say to him and I was really nervous. When we got to the park, I was relieved.

"So what do you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Mainly about the fight I heard. What happened?"

I told him the whole story. When I was done, I asked him a question.

"Do you think that was right?"

"Well, if you felt that was the right thing to do, then you did it."

"Oh, ok"

After a while, it got really awkward.

"Well, I'll see you later," I said as he grabbed my arm.

"Wait. I just wanted to say that-"

My cell phone started ringing.

"Hello Mom?"

"Hello sweetheart. I need you to come home now. There's something I need to tell you."

"Ok, Mom. I'll see you in a few."

I turned back to see that Chris had already left.
