My parents helped me heave the heavy boxes from my room to the moving van. It was a hot summer's day and sweat was pouring down my face. I had my hair tied up in a messy bun and hadn't done my makeup yet, so it's safe to say I looked pretty good.
Just as I was about to get into my own car to drive off to college, my parents began to get emotional. Mainly my mum, who bit down on her lip to prevent tears escaping her eyes. A pitiful smile played on my lips as I drew her into a hug. "I'll have fun, alright? And I promise I'll work hard and make you proud." She nods her head weakly as I pulled away and got into my car.
A dorm room was set up for me. It was a shared room for two people so I was going to have a roommate. Which kinda scared me. The only people I ever lived with were my parents so living with someone new would certainly be a challenge.
My heart suddenly felt as though it weighed of lead as I drove up to the tall apartment building that was to be my home for the next few years. I wondered if my roommate had already moved in or if I would be the first to inhabit the new apartment. Each step was more difficult to take than the last as I dragged a suitcase of clothes behind me.
Room 407. The key was handed over to me at the front door and I dragged my suitcase up the flight of stairs. I was out of breath by the time I reached the 4th floor. "I really need to get in shape." I manage to whisper through my panting.
I walked along the corridor towards my room. 407 was at the end of the corridor. First, I tried turning the handle. It didn't budge. So I must be first here. I slid my key in and turned it, entering the apartment.
It was a lot better than I had expected. More spacious and clean. In my mind, I thought the student accommodation would be dirty and small, not somewhere I'd like to live.
Since I was first here, I got to choose my room first, so obviously I chose the big one and started unpacking. I wasn't there very long when I heard someone else enter. At first it startled me but then I rushed out into the living room to greet them.
My roommate was a girl. She looked like a girl straight out of a Korean drama with her long, shiny black hair and her perfect skin. She was tall and skinny, her legs and arms stick thin. There was no denying it, she was extremely pretty.
"Hi, I'm Park Hana." She smiles kindly at me, flashing a set of perfectly white teeth. There was a long, awkward silence between us before I realised I was just staring at her.
"Oh! Right! I'm Song Jihyo." I snap out of my daze and shake her hand, realising how different we look right now. She looks all dolled up and I look like an actual potato. Living here should be...interesting.

That night I was given the task of grocery shopping after I lost at a game of rock, paper, scissors (the only fair way to decide who goes grocery shopping). To be honest, I was happy to be out the house. Hana was quite similar to Eunsang in the sense that she does not shut up about her boyfriend.
It's like she worships the guy and she does not stop talking about him at all. She may look pretty but she gets on my nerves more than Taeyong did. Speak of the devil, my phone signals I've received a text from him.
Batman: Ayo wassup.
Batgirl: Ayo home dawg, wassup.
Batman: Please never talk like that again.
Batgirl: But you did!
Batman: Yeah but I'm cooler than you.
Batman: You moved into college today, right?
